https://people.com/health/alex-trebek-clarifies-would-not-stop-all-treatment-if-current-cancer-regimen-fails/ Clarifies a statement he made regarding his treatment. When he said he would stop treatment, he meant his "experimental" treatment, not treatment all together - he would go back to chemotherapy if it doesn't work.

Perhaps, the shock of jumping in very cold water on a very hot day can cause that. But now they're saying due to low visibility at the bottom of the lake, she may never be found. I hope they find her so her family, friends and fans can get closure.

From interviews with the son, it seems like she put him back on the boat, went back in the water, and never came back up. Also her life vest was still on the boat. I think either she felt like she didn't need her life vest because she was a good enough swimmer, or she fell off the boat while putting her son back on. But I doubt it was intentional because it seems like she was very devoted to her son, being a single mom and all, and I don't think she would intentionally leave her son. I'm sure more info will come out as the investigation goes on though.

The appearance he's missing out on is considered as somewhat of a "Lifetime Achievement Award", so it's pretty significant that he won't be there.

On a personal level, Terry Jones, but Kobe Bryant is definitely the most significant. Honestly, it's safe to say that in America, he'll probably be the biggest death (or one of the biggest deaths) of the year. It seems too early to say that, but my fellow Americans are already comparing Kobe's death to the death of someone like Michael Jackson.

TMZ is now reporting that his daughter, Gigi, also died in the crash at just 13 years old. https://www.tmz.com/2020/01/26/kobe-bryant-killed-dead-helicopter-crash-in-calabasas/
