This reminds me of this book cover regarding OJ Simpson:
-
Pincher stepped down for pinching, Peter Bone stepped down for, well you know, now Scott Benton has resigned for being bent. I look forward to Greg Hands having to step down due to giving dodgy hand jobs.

Scott Benton resigns, so the by-election in Blackpool South is on (unless the GE is called before it can happen). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-68658896

Something I mentioned recently was that I wouldn't be surprised if this year end's up being Charles' annus horriblis (or as a couple of other users suggested, anus horriblis"). I remember seeing a post somewhere saying that Kate's planned return after Easter is the most anticipated Easter comeback since Jesus Christ.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if this is what led her to speaking out, given it's very difficult for a high profile figure to hide hair loss, should it occur as a consequence.

A sign of how mad the world is that the Daily Star is now more reasonable with its reporting than every other tabloid. I remember last year the Telegraph did the below front page that even The Daily Star editor could have considered a bit much:

Reminds me of this quote: "If someone says it's raining, and another person says it's dry, it's not your job to quote them both. Your job is to look out the fucking window and find out which is true." -Sally Claire

Farage will not be available to campaign for Reform if the election is in the autumn: he'll be too busy grifting for Trump in the US, which is much more lucrative. If however the election is May/June, Farage could well get involved, as there would be time to do both. -
If Andrew had said "we can't be sure that's my hand" regarding this "picture", I'd believe him for once.

This is my favourite take from the news today: -
Is it too soon to call this year Charles' "annus horriblis"?

2 birds 1 stone: he sinks his career and the Tory party's future faster in one sweep. -
Lee Anderson is defecting to Reform, I suspect that's what it is rather than anything Royal.
-
He's political editor of The Express, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a political news story that's being hyped more than it needs to be going by their track record.

Wootton now confirmed to have left GB News, on the same day the station itself reported a big loss: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-68470283

He didn't take long to prove this point of mine: -

He could start by putting Braverman through the Prevent programme. I wouldn't be surprised if the programme has received less extreme individuals than her before. -

I think if he did that it would backfire, persecution like that usually leads to greater unrest (that's not me saying he won't do that, that if he does he's being at best very naïve). -

Given how close we are to the GE, it will be very easy to highlight Galloway's blatant opportunism and lack of care for x area he's standing in by suddenly changing seats to be a candidate in. He's also supposedly standing for London Mayor, if he goes ahead with that then this will definitely highlight his behaviour. -

With Galloway expected to win, one of the more 'trivial' goals of his is to get Primark back in Rochdale. Maybe he can buy his next catsuit from it when it opens. -

Anderson is a useful idiot for the Tories, someone they have to claim to be on the side of working people, but also someone with a low support base and very likely to lose their seat come the election. He can be thrown under the bus easily, whereas Braverman and Truss' comparable, if not worse acts, go unpunished for now, because their support bases are too high for Sunak to have the balls to deal with. -
He's still suspended because of the exchange between him and Fox about Ava Jones (Fox got sacked for making the controversial remarks, Wootton suspended for laughing at them and not intervening to stop Fox).

This is my favourite comedy clip about Assange, including Micky Flanagan's description of him and the late Sean Lock's "what Assange sounds like":

If the general election is in May then there won't be a by-election. If however the GE is not till the autumn then there will be.
