Which would be unprecedented/unconstitutional to say the least, but not surprising given recent politics.

Could be 4 by-elections courtesy of Johnson's resignation honours list:

    Jair Bolsonaro

Maybe he's on the phone to Trump asking how to rally a mob to storm Brazil's National Congress building.

    Liz Truss

I'm a Celeb is for "has-beens", not "never-beens". That said she could get some advice from Dorries who of course caused a stir by going on it about 10 years ago, which was her only experience for Culture Secretary.

    George Alagiah

Unfortunately I think if he makes 2023 he'll be a strong contender for the list. By coincidence he's around the same age as former colleague and fellow cancer sufferer Bill Turnbull.

    David Dimbleby

David Dimbleby was recently interviewed on GMB about his new book and Liz Truss' time as PM so far, and I can't help but think he's looking more frail since he left Question Time 4 years ago:

Rupa Huq one to watch out for after having the whip removed for racist remarks: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-63050482

Sounds like when DeathList selection would be considered she might not be famous enough to meet the criteria.

    27. Sir David Attenborough

Could David Attenborough be involved in the state funeral coverage next week, like he was for Prince Philip's funeral?

Are they also considering doing a sceptre-shaped one as a tribute?

Most Significant Death Of Each Month

A US President (Biden if this month of course) dying in office might, especially if assassinated, going by how prolific such deaths have been in the past.

    Queen Elizabeth II

I get the impression from this that she was alive when the health concern public statement was released around 12:30, but that her end was imminent.

Probably because of all the fist thumping on the table whenever Meghan and/or Prince Andrew do something stupid.

Nadine Dorries reported to be off to the Lords, which would result in a by-election:

Yes it's enough to avert a recall petition, and as she doesn't seem to be up for resigning a by-election looks off the cards. It looks like she isn't getting the Labour whip back so come the GE that seat could be interesting.

    Queen Elizabeth II

Earlier this week The Times reported a sharp increase in the estimate of how much of the population think the Queen should retire. While a higher proportion still favour her to continue, the shift this week has been very notable: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/a-third-of-britons-think-the-queen-should-retire-nhwx6ppk8

I think this makes it more likely she won't physically be at any of the Platinum jubilee events, or at best a brief appearance somewhere (like the Buckingham Palace balcony).

If that ever becomes me I'd be trying to arrange an "Old Man's friend party", if there is such a thing, in the hope that I can be put out of my misery before all that suffering and expense happens. Somehow don't think the Queen would do this.
