Basically if this turns out to be the final result, Reform have won everything they can.
-
Labour gain Bexleyheath and Crayford, both my parent's seat and previously a very safe Tory seat.
-
As I said to one of the earlier examples, put these Gaza Independents on the by-election bingo. I can think of a multitude of reasons why they won't last the parliament.
-
If true this would be my "little gem" of the night.

COFFEY'S GONE...THE GREENS WON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Labour have gained Weston-super-Mare, which means John Penrose has lost his seat, i.e. Dido Harding's husband.
-
Him losing would have been the best outcome, however had he lost he'd have been a likely candidate on Sunak's resignation honours to go to the Lords, so I doubt it would have ended him entirely.
-
Labour gain Bassetlaw, that very old Reform candidate won't be on by-election bingo entries then.
-
Fabricant's gone!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
They're on the by-election bingo for me and probably several others: there's bound to be something controversial that comes out and it will be interesting to see what happens to them if the situation in Gaza dies down well before the Parliament is up. On the plus side at least it wasn't a Tory gain like Leicester East.
-
Not just in IDS's seat has a split vote helped the Tories, in Leicester East the Tories GAINED it from Labour because not one but two former Labour MPs guilty of separate offences that got them expelled from the party stood as independents. Perhaps Labour should pursue improving MP's standards hard to their own benefit, as it might prevent such a sabotage like this.

A majority for Francois so small it makes him look like a giant in comparison.

Well Mordaunt more than anyone should know that when you live by the sword...

Nadine Dorries will be awake throwing up with a hangover.

I'm mainly following Sky, I'd have gone for C4 had they not brought in nutty guests, as the presenting team is very good IMO.
-
The Sky analysis of the Exit poll vs result in Sunderland South shows Reform were overestimated by 5% in the seat while Labour were 1% underestimated. If replicated nationally that does imply Reform's seat count won't be as high as 13.

If Reform get something like that get almost all their MPs on the by-election bingo: their vetting has been poor and I suspect skeletons will come out of the closet, especially if Labour improve standards MPs are held to.

This led to some good parodies, like this one: https://x.com/supertanskiii/status/1808634584176677122

The FT reporting that Democrat Governors back Biden, which to me is like a Football club's owners backing the manager a week before said manager is sacked. https://on.ft.com/45VPSij "Democratic state governors said they backed Joe Biden after talks at the White House on Wednesday despite a string of bleak polls for the president and calls from some lawmakers for him to exit the US presidential race."

The BBC might need to have a defibrillator and a sick bag on standby for when the Exit Poll is announced for her sake.

Then at 9am: "This is Davina, you're live in Downing Street! Please don't swear! ESPECIALLY YOU ANDREA JENKYNS!!!!" "
