Guesses on what the speech is going to be about? The Queen of Denmark did the same thing a few weeks ago which basically was a: "Take this serious, you little shits, and do what you're told."
-
Yeah, he'll get shot dead within a year.

868 US deaths today. Man, a lot of people are going to die worldwide the coming weeks.

OK i may have had the virus without knowing... Where I live, a lot of people became sick with Covid-19 after a 40.000 attendee event on March 9th in a crowded exhibition center - my mom went to that event. I visited her a few days after the event, and later that week she was sick with flu like symptoms. She still coughs now even though it's been a few weeks. The following week from the visit, I had a bad cold and terrible throat pains for 4 days, and I'm considering if I had very mild symptoms since I'm only 30 years young. I read an article about footballer Mangala in Valencia who tested positive and he only felt light pains in this throat. Scary. I've been at home the past weeks besides going for walks on my own, so I've probably not been spreading it around. But still...

Prime minister in Denmark just announced that we will slowly open up again and return to normal after easter. They're optimistic about the results of the lockdown.

Looks like the old timer is going to be fine.

Damn you're right. He looked tired and very grey.

New Oxford University study posits that the fatality rate may actually be 0.05-0.14.. That puts Covid-19 on par or even less severe than the flu. It’s just that it infects everybody very quickly that’s causing the problem.

What are you doing to kill the boredom.

Oh the irony, Boris.

What would happen if, let's say: Charles dies. And then, God forbid, Elizabeth dies for whatever reason (old age, the rona)? I am not British, and not too familair with the royals over there besides names etc.

Well, I guess we can post some 'encouraging news' too. It's only a draft from the folks at Oxford, but worth a read: Article: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/health/coronavirus-half-uk-population-oxford-university-study-finds-a4396721.html Report itself: https://www.dropbox.com/s/oxmu2rwsnhi9j9c/Draft-COVID-19-Model (13).pdf?dl=0&utm_source=Registered+Readers&utm_campaign=94ca715864-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_02_26_COPY_48&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_146710a7a1-94ca715864-

COVID-19 - The CEO's who treat their staff badly
Genfærd replied to ladyfiona's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Bestseller billionaire, Anders Holch Povlsen, fired 750 employees weeks after announcing 'one their best years in revenue'. (Danish link) Even with a high salary, of 50.000DKR pr. month (which is probably less), it is estimated that keeping those people for 6 months would've costed 250 million DKR (£30m) - compared to their revenue of 2.8 billion DKR (£346m). Anders Holch Povlsen was the guy who lost 3 children in the Sri Lanka Easter Terrorist Attack, last year.- 26 replies

Denmark jumped from 13 to 24 deaths just now. Damn.

Without a doubt. Had a feeling it didn't look too good for him when news broke that he was infected.

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
Genfærd replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Watching a classic. The Young Ones. I miss Rik Mayall... -
Watch the fella survive it anyway to die January 2021.

Don't be sorry, bud. I feel you. Let's look at the positives. Recoveries are up 3000 since yesterday! We'll deal with this, but sadly loads of folks will die. Stay positive, Steve. We need people like you.
-
What do you mean? 100s of dead today. Spain with a huge spike and we haven't had numbers come out of Italy yet (probably will in half an hour). Things are not turning better anytime soon, sadly. I like your thinking. I really do. But we're in the beginning of a hellish couple of months ahead us. There'll be massive deaths around Europe, the U.S. and in big countries like Iran, India etc.
-
And that will double in no time... Sigh.
-
Funny. It's the same here in Denmark. While the medias are spreading doom and gloom, Hospitals are in good shape and have plenty of beds and respiratory systems.
-
No curfew but a lot of restrictions - everything is basically closed (besides supermarkets and pharmacists), and no one is allowed to gather 10 people or more We're doing our party, and your family is safe and sound! Sorry about the 4th loss of life in Norway. Glad, us Nordic countries, are taking this seriously, and are in complete shutdown. Stay safe!
-
That would be incredible. Legit, unbelievable. I hope, but find this highly unlikely. They are doing an amazing job.
-
It's scary. I went for a quick walk and the city was empty at noon. Barely any people out there. Our Queen is talking to the nation tonight - i've never experienced this besides the yearly new years speech. It's expected that Denmark will see a complete curfew. It's surreal to be in the middle of this.

We surpassed you here in Denmark. 4 deaths now. Expected to raise drastically in the coming week. No new cases since we don't test anymore. Country is about to shut down everything that is not a grocery store or pharmacist, and force us to stay in. What is this timeline.
