well her mother was an alcoholic and stoic about health concerns and she still made 101. Then again her father died of cancer at age 52. -

Some State Leader older than 94 must have died, since Queen Elizabeth is now the 22nd oldest, she was only 23 a few days ago. Edit: It was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abderrahmane_Youssoufi must have missed it on Friday.

I reiterate me demand to the committee for him to be the next Kirk Douglas.
-
Example: Bob Weighton
-
I assume many didnt expect him to die this fast. They even noted the cause of death, cancer. Usually nobody bothers with the cause of death for people older than 90, much less Supercentenarians.
-
Had he not had something like cancer he wouldve easily broken the record.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2020 List
roaming_comrade replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList Forum
If you want to do a bit of math for fun then you can add up the probability of each of the 50 people on the list to die at their current age that year (depending on gender) and then add that together to find out what the average amount of expected deaths would be if you just picked random people: https://www.ssa.gov/oact/STATS/table4c6.html -

I believe if we add all your percentages up we will end up with no less than 30 hits this year. -

Men have the tendency to die shortly before their birthdays, while woman tend to die shortly after them. So the next few days will be interesting -

funny, most of these I consider among the interesting ones, and I rather hope all the less popular people die so that the people you mentioned can block a seat in the list for yet another year -

Indeed, the last living veteran of WW1 was a woman too, a field nurse to be precise.

its simple statistical analysis, biological research just complements

Given that the age of death of the oldest centenarians pretty much dies down consistently from age 112-117 with 2 outliers. it is safe to assume that the absolute maximum doesnt lie far above jeanne calment
-
Current science supports that the maximum possible human life span lies around 125-130, unless we start to mess with Human DNA of course.
-
from a statistical point of view she cant die next year, because no one ever died at age 118
-
And the 10th oldest serving state leader of all time
