It looks like the well known US tv presenter Larry King is about to die at any minute from the covid.I am staying up all night so will keep you informed. BBC allready giving a virtual  obituary..https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55519403

Well you're already not doing a good job at keeping us informed, considering this was posted in his thread 5 hours ago.

I'd also bet my house and my cat on you not being the first to break the death news to the forum either.

It's frowned upon in these woke times to indicate a person's sex, you know!  They are all "actors" now.

Personally I think it's ridiculous, as acting is one of the few occupations where it almost always does matter.  I mean, you generally want a female to play a female character, and a male to play a male character.  So throwing away the distinction doesn't seem useful to me.

I did think I could be harpooned by the woke police for suggesting it, but all the other female "actors" are described as actresses on the list and I'm a big fan of continuity!

  3. Regarding the descriptions on the DL, should Shannen Doherty's say 90210 Actress instead of Actor? I also think adding "US Politician" to all the American politician descriptions would look better, or a slightly more insightful term on the key part they played in their career. Describing them as just a "politician" is too broad and looks lazy/bland.

I just thought distinguishing the nationality of them would look better, considering how politician-heavy the list is this year.

Anyways, not important. Just me being a picky sod.

People still do not grasp the fact that the committee have little to no interest in the forum anymore and haven't for a long time.

It's just a list that requires little tinkering with every year.

It gets tinkered with for a bit and then they sod off back to their normal lives and barely look in over the next 12 months.

People need to wise the fuck up.

One good thing to come out of this list is that I hope it acts as a deterrent to the people that think they're a bloody spokesperson for the forum, posting in the Ideas and Possibilities thread multiple times a day. Gets so darn tiresome seeing the same recycled names mentioned in that thread over and over.

  5. David Byrd - in ICU with COVID, I didn't want to risk him recovering and having an annoyingly healthy person on my team all year.

Tom Weiskopf  -  was tempting to include him but I figured it may been a fraction too early. Could easily die later in the year if treatment isn't effective.

Rush Limbaugh - a bit of a stupid for me to leave him off, for some reason I thought he was turning 80 this year instead of 70.

Greg Gilbert - seems a little bit too stable for me to include him for now. Could easily have a quick downturn at any point though. He's on year 5 with stage 4 iirc?

Alan Dean Foster - wasn't satisfied with the little information around his cancer diagnosis.

Jim Hagedorn - read the news he had 90% of his cancer removed (+ a kidney) a couple of days before I submitted, but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean he's out of the woods.

  7. 90 year-old bingo it is then for the DL this year. Whoever the "committee" are, are very out of touch but may have a touch of dementia themselves! Time to inject some new, in-tune with the world people to the "committee" if we want the Tom Parkers, James Whales and Sarah Hardings to be included in future years.

To think I was convinced this could be one of the youngest average age lists we've had in a while... considering how many below 80 year-old low hanging fruit choices there was this year.

Here is me scrolling through the list at 00:02:

  9. Decided to have a go at the DDP this year and just sent over my B team via email (I don't have Microsoft on this laptop - sorry!)

Sitting on submitting my main team just in case we have any John Lewis's.

Why did you decide to include Clint Eastwood? Was it just because he is ninety years old and he’s too big to miss or do you have reason to believe he is in poor health? Many great picks here, by the way.

Why are you SO fucking obsessed with Clint Eastwood? You've probably mentioned him at least 5 times in the ideas and possibilities thread pleading with people not to choose him...

I hope they pick him next year so you realise they don't listen to the countless unhelpful posts you make in that thread.
