Death In The Family
Etushispushingupdaisies replied to Magere Hein's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Widow of my dad's cousin (he died after suffering injuries in a car crash in 2014, just like his son in 2011, his father, my grandpa's brother, died of natural causes in 2017) has died at about 60 of pneumonia (not COVID-19)tonight. She had a pre-existing blood condition. And I'm turning 20 this year. And my parents are 52. My maternal grandpa died of carbon monoxide poisoning while repairing his car in 2004 at 71 (17.12.1932-18.10.2004) . My sister's twin was 7 months young, when she died of cirrhosis (she was born without a gallbladder) (14.09.2007-22.04.2008). My paternal grandma died of a blood clot at 81 (26.06.1928-23.02.2010). My paternal grandpa died after 11-year-long battle with prostate and bowel cancer at 84 (13.09.1931-19.01.2016). And my maternal grandma has died of diabetes, pancreatitis and dementia at 83 (14.09.1932-26.04.2016). -

https://m.lenta.ru/news/2020/03/25/37/amp/ Russian voice actor Sergey Smirnov has died of meningitis three weeks after falling and injuring his head at 37. He dubbed Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spiderman franchise, James McAvoy in Split and Glass, Tom Cruise (because of Yaroslava Turylyova's (Universal's Russian Dubbing Director) crankiness and feud with Vsevolod Kuznetsov (Tom Cruise', Brad Pitt's, Keanu Reeves', Ralph Fiennes', Will Smith's, Chris Tucker's and Antonio Banderas' Russian dubber and a great dubbing director, mostly for Warner Bros) in The Mummy and American Made, Jamie Dornan in Fifty Shades Franchise, Ewan McGregor in Doctor Sleep, Edward Norton in Moonrise Kingdom and Collateral Beauty, Michael Sheen in Dolittle, Chris Hemsworth in Blackhat and Bad Times at the El Royale, Jeremy Renner in Mission Impossible franchise, Chris Pratt in Jurassic World franchise, Richard Gere in a new dub of The Jackal and many other actors. He has also directed dubs of Captain Marvel, Glass, The Missing Link , Onward and a few other films. What a tragedy for Russian dubbing community. Can somebody crosspost this to the Voice actors thread? -
Deathlist Dreaming
Etushispushingupdaisies replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Yesterday I had a dream that Russian voice actor (most notable works: Jared Leto in Blade Runner 2049 and Edward Norton in Motherless Brooklyn) and dubbing director ("The Witcher" Netflix series) Ivan Kalinin has died at 38. I also had the same dreams about David Byrne and Halle Berry a while back. I'm a big fan of Talking Heads. -
He just dropped dead to see what condition his mortician was in. I remember him from The Big Lebowski soundtrack. RIP.

He was also the announcer of "Fridays". I've first learned of him after watching a recorded King Crimson 1982 performance on Youtube. I always thought he will die soon. RIP. -
