On the topic of having family lost in war, this is my great x2 grandfather (my dad's, dad's, dad's dad). He was shot down by a German machine gun within his first few weeks of being a soldier in WWI and he was buried in a mass grave in Flanders, France. My Nan survived breast cancer twice. Shes had a double mastectomy because of this, once in 1996 and the other in 2008. She is still alive today at 80 years old. Sadly she is starting to slow down quite a bit due to her arthurites but she will be around for some time hopefully.

Do you have anyone in your family who have miraculously over-exceeded the predicted lifespan? Or do you come from a family with a history of long-livers? I'll start it off... My grandad's aunt lived until she was 105. In fact, she lived for so long that she even outlived him. Even at the age of 105, she would still do paintings - so she pretty much remained physically and mentally intact even at the very end.

Oh just to expand on the point made by Creepy Pasta earlier: Here I said family history. This includes people who you wouldn't know such as great-grandparents and so on. So this thread is in its own right to exist as it does not fit within the guidelines of the oldest people you know thread.

NO Is the Mayor and regional govt responsible for this death? YES Is Target to blame? NO Does attacking Target do anything? NO Wouldn't it make sense to attack the regional Govt instead of businesses? YES Could've Trump done more? YES Does BLM cover black on black shootings? NO Does BLM cover very specific incidents like this one? YES Would it be moral for BLM treat every black killing the same? YES Idc if you support Trump, Biden, Bernie or fucking Hitler - this is my honest unbiased take on the situation. Don't try and twist my words to the point where you are questioning my sympathy for this murder (as highlighted above), that's the point where your point becomes all feels and no fact.

I agree with you on that one, stupid move by Trump, although I do think BLM will protest regardless. I will say that my problem with BLM is that they only ever speak out on White on Black or cop on Black killings - killing someone because they are black is disgusting, don't get me wrong, but everyone forgets about black on black shootings, which statistically cause FAR more deaths per annum. I mean why doesn't BLM not go up in torches and pitchforks when Chicago has 58 black people killed in a single weekend? Shouldn't Black lives matter then? The reason I say this is because although I agree that police brutality is disgusting I just feel like the more relevant issues are being pushed aside when it comes to poor black people getting killed.

What would you suggest? Let all cops pay the price whether they are corrupt or not? Also why are the protesters looting shops? Wouldn't it make more sense to loot government buildings and go take a shit on the Mayor's car etc?

Ok first of all I am not saying that what happened to George Floyd wasn't disgusting. All I'm saying is lets look at this logically. If Trump didn't send police, he will be criticised for not caring about the policemen and women that have done nothing wrong. Trump probably has like 10 people in his ear giving him advise on how to play peacemaker - and tbh bringing in the national guard to keep everyone safe during the protest was the right thing to do.

Well what was he supposed to do? Let the cops be attacked by the protesters?

Wait what? You are on a forum that treats death as a points system (nothing wrong with that IMO) and you're mad at me for potentially hurting the feelings of people on the forum who's relatives have died below the age of 80? Mate that is almost all of us, myself included. I would honestly never shame anyone over their dead relatives, as that is just plain low and unfunny. My maternal grandmother's side of the family is the same. Not many in that family made it past 70, very few made it past 80. Matter of fact, I'm not the healthiest person either - considering the fact that I am a smoker, I drink regularly and I have fattened up a lot over quarantine (not to the point of obesity but as of recent I have become more or less of a thicc boi).
