Dean Smith did a very good job at Brentford. Thomas Frank has done even better even after Smith signed Watkins. Farke is idolised by the Norwich board and the fans. Bruce had a long injury list for most of last season. Gerrard will stay at the Huns until Klopp leaves Liverpool. McCall's comments about a board meeting (in an interview after winning the League) suggested that he was close to being sacked after the East Fife game. I wish Brechin, after escaping relegation in 2020 with a dodgy SPFL fix, a speedy liquidation in Highland League obscurity. When do I submit next season's list?

https://www.itv.com/news/2020-11-30/the-bbc-documents-which-show-bosses-tried-to-blame-princess-dianas-brother-earl-spencer-in-fake-documents-row "BBC documents, released under Freedom of Information laws, reveal what conclusions senior BBC managers came to over Mr Bashir's conduct - five months after the Diana interview had been broadcast. The BBC's then Head of News, Tony Hall, later Lord Hall, told a Board of Governors meeting on April 25, 1996, that it was Earl Spencer who had produced the bank statements and given them to Mr Bashir." "Lord Hall, who went on to become the BBC's Director-General, wrote in his 1996 report: "Earl Spencer... showed him [Martin Bashir] some documents including this man's bank statement." |He then wrote that Mr Bashir "made them into a graphic using the bank statement Spencer had given him." "However, the Panorama graphic designer who produced the false bank statements told an ITV documentary earlier this month that Martin Bashir had asked him to urgently create them one evening."

Sounds like a BBC cover-up with a generous pay-off - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-57120603. "However, Bashir had recently come under scrutiny after it emerged mocked-up bank statements had been produced in an attempt to secure the interview with the princess. The BBC has apologised for the use of the statements, but has insisted they played "no part in her decision to take part in the interview". Bashir will not face a criminal investigation. But retired Supreme Court judge Lord Dyson has carried out an inquiry into the incident. A spokeswoman for Lord Dyson said he had concluded his investigation and that the report had been "passed to the BBC for publication in due course".

Or a cover-up? Cue the David Icke conspiracy theories on lizards etc.

I had forgotten that the Irish had qualified in 1990. Thanks for that.

Alan Mcloughlin, 54, was in ireland's 1994 squad but did not play - https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/14849821/alan-mcloughlin-dead-at-54-ireland-legend/ "His legendary status in Ireland was secured with his goal against Northern Ireland in 1993 though he remained a fixture in the squad until 1999, with his last appearance coming against Macedonia. Despite firing Ireland to the World Cup in 1994, he failed to feature in any of the games. He was an unused substitute in the group matches against Italy, Mexico and Norway, while he also sat out the Round of 16 tie against Holland."

The odds are non-existent because the most likely candidate, Sir Covid Tom Moore, carked before Phil the Greek. A more pertinent question is that did the wake have shish kebabs rather than sausage rolls?

To be more accurate, Covid was mentioned on 60 death certificates. Over the last year or so, NHS doctors have been mentioning Covid on the death certificates of car crash victims and those who have died of heart attacks, cancer, strokes, drug overdoses etc.
