Steve Howe's all right then.

Bit of a shock about Alan White, because yesterday I saw the news that he won't be playing on Yes' forthcoming tour - which might seem paradoxical, but it didn't sound as if he was that ill. He'd been having back problems for a long time, so for some years they'd had a second drummer who did increasingly more of the playing.

I don't know, but I can imagine the headlines if it was confirmed: "IT'S MANTHEA!"

I was once told that at a party, Grant Bovey's ex-wife had loudly announced that Anthea Turner was a hermaphrodite.

It will feel odd to say "The King" instead of "The Queen." And he'll be on the stamps and money.

Here it is, "Eve" from 1968. I remember watching it on Granada, late on a Monday night...

The magpie looks as if it's vomiting out the show's title. Great theme tune though.

Marvel Comics / DC Comics / Others

Neal Adams was definitely a major figure in American comics, for his influence on other artists as much as for his own work. Also there really aren't many artists from comics' Silver Age of the 1960s left now. -

Apparently Berlin School electronic artist Klaus Schulze has died. An early member of Tangerine Dream, he went on to a long solo career. -
He doesn't look bad for 53 or 54, as he was then.

According to Kenneth Anger* you might have to wait till he's finished with "the fist-fuck set." *A good pick for future DPs, btw. He's about 94 and looks as if the forces of occult darkness turned up to collect.

He looks as if his head and upper and lower body have been taken apart, then put back together but not all the same way round.

"June Brown's body is a-lying in its grave, or will be shortly."

They're playing a 50th anniversary tour, with Ferry, Manzanera, Mackay and Paul Thompson. Not Eno, which might have been interesting.

We got a great big cortege, ain't it a beautiful sight?

Concerns about Bruce Willis’ declining cognitive state swirled around sets in recent years From the Los Angeles Times.

When I saw "Jimmy Lydon RIP" I thought it was John Lydon's brother, who made a few records of his own.

It feels like a tacit admission that the Queen won't be around when the renovations are done.

Films with entirely dead casts

Burnt Offerings (1976) which was on Talking Pictures the other week is a contender for this thread - of the main cast, the only one still alive is Lee Montgomery (b. 1961). There are also a handful of bit parts, mostly taken by obscure players who were adults at the time. Todd Turquand (b. 1964) played Oliver Reed's character as a child, his last IMDB credit was in 1978 and he seems to have gone into the watch business. -

Incidentally, if it's bad music you're after try his version of "Sympathy For The Devil" from the same album. -

I wonder if Bryan Ferry knew back then that Lesley Gore was a lesbian?
