    Michael J Fox

He's deceased but I have to mention Kenny Baker. I happened to meet him a couple years before his death in London and he took his time to have a conversation with me about Star Wars stuff even though he didn't really have to. Just an all around great guy and many others have said the same thing about him too.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2023

Norman Tebbit and Burt Bacharach are two that come to mind, both appear to be doing well enough despite advanced age. Sir Bobby Charlton and Dick Van Dyke should be kept over these two in my opinion. Now this will be controversial but I think Rosalynn Carter can get the drop as well, from the latest photos of her I think she will stick around for a few more years.

I'd say keep Sir Bobby Charlton, Mel Brooks and Dick Van Dyke, maybe keep Jerry Lee Lewis too. The rest can be dropped.

    Dying Off The Radar

Found out German photographer Perry Kretz died off the radar back in 2020 https://www.stern.de/kultur/perry-kretz--der-stern-fotograf-stirbt-mit-87-jahren-9529658.html. Kretz worked for the German magazine Stern and worked for over 4 decades, he is perhaps most known for his involvement in the Vietnam War. Kretz is also one of several people credited with saving the life of Kim Phuc, better known as the Napalm Girl.

    Death Anniversary Thread

Denis Healey's death was responsible for me discovering the DeathList and getting interested into celebrity death predictions in the first place. The moment I saw the humorous titles given for the DeathList hits, I knew that I had to follow the DeathList in 2016. I've been following it ever since.

    Korean War Vets

So the annual Medal of Honor recipients convention happened earlier this September and Korean War recipient Ralph Puckett was there, looked even frailer than at his Medal of Honor ceremony. Hiroshi Miyamura didn't show up which isn't a good sign either especially as he was a regular at these conventions, so what Ulitzer said about them both looking like shit, definitely seems to be the case here. I wouldn't see them lasting long either. They are a fast dwindling group, so much so that many believe this will be the last proper Medal of Honor recipient convention and I can see why as some of the Vietnam War MOH recipients who were there looked quite frail, also found out a few other recipients who were not at the event that are now frail, Michael Thornton in particular stands out to me because he seemed healthy a couple months ago but now he looks quite frail and he's using a cane, not to mention he usually wouldn't miss such events. Roger Donlon, who I've mentioned several times before as he has end-stage Parkinson's disease for a while now, somehow attended the convention (potentially one for the immortals list?) but his wife who's basically his spokesperson nowadays, pretty much confirmed this will be Roger's last time attending for obvious reasons. So the full list of MOH recipients that I know of that are in poor health or are otherwise frail as of right now, are Ralph Puckett, Hiroshi Miyamura, Roger Donlon, Barney Barnum, Allen James Lynch, John Duffy, Gary Wetzel, Clarence Sasser and Michael Thornton.

    World War II Veterans

At first I was confused by this because I could have sworn this guy died recently. Then I realized that it was U.S Navy flying ace Dean Laird that died at the age of 101 this August and to make this coincidence even wilder, another notable U.S WWII veteran by the name of Dean Ladd, who had served in the Marine Corps, witnessed several battles, wrote a book about his experiences in the war and was also believed to be the oldest living U.S Marine Corps veteran at the time of his death, had died in August, also at the age 101 years old.

Actor Derren Nesbitt is 87 years old, seems to be pretty frail too. Feels like one to watch in the next couple of years.

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

Mike Mullane's Riding Rockets is a fantastic book to read if you are into spaceflight, gives a great insight especially of the Space Shuttle era and what it was like being an astronaut in that period of time.

    Deathlist Dreaming

I had a weird dream last night and I wasn't even drunk. So it starts like this, after the Queen died and Charles is made king, the Queen's ghost suddenly arrives at my house grabs me and takes me some random realm where I see the Queen is no longer a ghost and in that realm I also meet Phil Taylor from Motorhead, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Alfred Hitchcock, actress Eva Gabor, race car driver Roy Salvadori and one another woman who I couldn't recognize and I tell them about the DeathList. Then Phil Taylor tells me that it will be Jean-Luc Godard who dies next but Gabor, Salvadori, the unnamed woman and Ginsburg tell me Ted Kaczynski will die next while Hitchcock goes with Marianne Faithfull. I think we all then talk for a bit before the Queen tells me "One more thing I must tell you, Coldplay's Chris Martin is the actual king of England." before the dream ended.

    Salman Rushdie

No update after being taken off ventilator, granted Salman Rushdie hated the spotlight and all but his agent should have said something by now, especially as Salman Rushdie still has plenty of severe injuries including the high chance of losing his eye and is remaining in critical condition. A full recovery seems like wishful thinking at this point and I think it's pretty safe to say the Salman Rushdie that we knew is gone. It's only a question of how fast or slow the decline will be. Definitely should be considered for the DL.

    John Farnham

Here's an article which goes into more details. https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/music/john-farnhams-cancer-diagnosis-came-after-wife-jill-forced-him-to-go-to-the-doctor/news-story/115069bbb4148c2e7d1639b16ea1db92 Apparently there were 26 surgeons involved in this operation, which was to remove part of his jaw in order to remove the tumor, and then perform reconstructive surgery on the jaw, the operation itself went successfully according to a family friend. Only time will tell how things go from here though.

Politician Ralph Nader is 88 years old and he's actually not been discussed that much here surprisingly. To be honest a name to watch for in these next couple of years.
