Found out billionaire Charlie Munger is 98 years old. He should be considered for the DL as he is more than famous enough, not to mention his age.
-
Worth mentioning his uncle Maurice was a very successful race car driver, and Jean-Louis himself dabbled in racing at an amateur level.

Jean-Louis Trintignant a hit for me and countless others.

Films with entirely dead casts
The Immortal replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
The death of Nancy Berg in 2022 means the entire credited cast of the 1964 Cold war movie Fail Safe is dead. Grand Prix (1966) is also on it's last legs, down to Eva Marie Saint, Genevieve Page and Francoise Hardy for the main speaking cast. -
Been a while since the last OoO update, wondering if there's any new info about certain old racing drivers. Especially curious on anything about Jean-Pierre Jabouille (supposedly has dementia according to his friend and former racing driver Jacques Laffite).

In that case, my bad.

Ignore my post here, maybe delete it if you can.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive
The Immortal replied to Catherine's topic in DeathList Forum
I only really knew about David Frankham from one of his other roles, the rest were pretty unknown to me because I just don't know much about 1950's Disney. That being said asides from maybe Frankham, none of the names are immediate DL potential as they all appear very well in the online convention I mentioned. -

Italian racing driver Vittorio Brambilla died on this day, 21 years ago aged 63. Nicknamed the "Monza Gorilla" for his aggressive driving style, he only won a single Formula 1 race back in 1975 and was lucky enough to survive a head injury in the 1978 Italian Grand Prix in a pileup which would kill F1 driver Ronnie Peterson. -

On this day 40 years ago, American race car driver Gordon Smiley died, aged 36 in an extremely violent crash in qualifying for the 1982 Indy 500. So Smiley had been known as an arrogant driver and a general prick, who was way over his head. Despite being warned by several senior drivers about his driving style and being told he was way over his head, he simply ignored their warnings. And then during qualifying, it happened. He lost control of his car, veered right and hit the wall and it completely disintegrated on impact. As for Smiley? The details are a bit too gruesome even for the DeathList so if you want to know you will have to look it up, but he was quite literally, turned into mincemeat. Even to this day, Smiley's fatal crash is considered one of the most violent in racing history. -

Indy 500 driver Art Pollard died on this day 49 years ago, aged 46 in a fatal crash in practice for the 1973 Indy 500 in which his car hit the outside wall, before it tumbled and burst into flames. Pollard was an experienced racer who competed in several Indy 500's. He wasn't the only one who would have a fatal accident that weekend, driver Swede Savage and pit crew mechanic Armando Teran would be killed in separate accidents during the race (Savage actually dying months later in hospital). -

Yesterday, Italian F1 driver Michele Alboreto was killed in an accident while testing an Audi Le Mans Car 21 years ago. And on this day 13 years ago, Indy 500 racer Danny Kladis passed away and though he never found success in Indianapolis, he became notable for an unexpected reason later in his life, his longevity and status as Indy 500's oldest living racer at a point of time, having lived to the age of 92 at a time where most Indy drivers were lucky enough to have reached their 40's and 50's.
