Would like to change my name from TheSpinosaurus to "The Immortal".

Well, with Mattingly and Borman gone, here are the remaining survivors. Jim Lovell (Apollo 8 and 13) Bill Anders (Apollo 8) Rusty Schweickart (Apollo 9) David Scott (Apollo 9 and 15) Tom Stafford (Apollo 10) Buzz Aldrin (Apollo 11) Fred Haise (Apollo 13) Charles Duke (Apollo 16) Harrison Schmitt (Apollo 17) Less than 10 survivors of the Apollo Program left. Additionally with Borman's death, every Apollo mission has at least 1 crew member dead.

Well, we're now down to (possibly) 4 as Horace Hamilton died this Sunday.

Deathrace Form Guide #6 Ira "Ike" Schab This 103 year old Pearl Harbor Survivor's dying wish was to return to Pearl Harbor one last time, at the time of it's 80th anniversary back in 2021. His family pushed for crowdfunding to cover his medical and travel expenses as he was already very ill and even after that they weren't sure if he would be able to make it to Pearl Harbor because of his health, having been in and out of hospital for multiple health issues including bouts of pneumonia. To my knowledge, he continues to be mostly in and out of hospital.

Yup. Borman stopped making public appearances a while ago and I've heard he is in poor health, while Lovell lost his wife recently.
-
I think you are right, her father's side of the family are of Goa Portuguese origin. The name makes a lot more sense now, thank you. Back on topic, a cricketer named Brian Brain died recently.

Went to a friend's wedding and the maid of honor was this lovely lady by the name of Lusitania, named after the RMS Lusitania despite her family not having any connection to it.

I've been skeptical from the start. I've owned many Golden Retrievers and Bobi seems to be around that size. The Golden Retriever I grew up with lived to be 14 which is quite old for a dog of his size. And here you have a dog of a similar size that's claimed to be more than twice the age and in generally great health, and being from rural Portugal where you don't exactly have documentation. Definitely suspicious.

If there's anything I have learned, it's that celebrities and bathtubs don't mix well, particularly with drugs or alcohol (though it's claimed Matthew Perry wasn't under the influence of either at the time of his death despite having an addiction history). Elvis, Jim Morrison, Whitney Houston, Aaron Carter, Dolores O'Riordan, that one Bollywood Actress, Bobbi Kristina Brown and now Matthew Perry.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

There are still a handful of veterans from Britain's nuclear weapons testing program still alive. Close exposure to radioactive fallout from the testing has taken it's toll on them with majority having suffered from cancer of some kind. These veterans have been clashing with the government because they haven't been given any recognition or compensation for their service, I believe they did finally have service medal established recently but nothing beside that. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/nuclear-veterans-fight-ministry-defence-30976711. I'll be doing some more research here and compile a list of these veterans who are still alive. -
Mexican racing driver Carlos Alberto Gordoa Alvarez killed in an accident at the Carrera Panamericana https://en.as.com/racing/driver-dies-in-accident-during-the-pan-american-race-n. In other news, Jacques Laffite made a rare public appearance earlier this October attending a classic car event in France along with fellow racing drivers Henri Pescarolo and Jean Ragnotti. Laffite has Parkinson's but it still seems to be in the early stages, so the scavenger hunt teams who picked him probably aren't going to get a result here.

Indeed. Feels like Hurst, Beckenbauer, Zagallo and Jairzinho are the only 60s greats left.
-
Sad news. Not only a legend of the game, but also the last survivor of the Munich air disaster. RIP.
-
Then why did he create an entire list of his enemies? Who most of them I'll assume, were made on his own will.
-
So clearly you don't do much research then? A simple Wikipedia list here mentions at least 20 living politicians older than your supposed oldest politician pick, who isn't even a centenarian mind you. And that's just for the living ones.

Apparently was in failing health for a while, suffering from pulmonary fibrosis. https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2023/sep/25/the-guy-who-knew-the-rules-failing-health-doesnt-s/ -
Well, this tweet from August is claiming that Roger Donlon is at the end of this life. Considering Donlon has been suffering from end-stage Parkinson's for at least four years and is in very poor health I could very well believe that statement, however it's October and Donlon is still alive 2 months after the tweet was posted so clearly he's among the immortals now.

Several Pearl Harbor survivors have died since my last update. Bob Batterson died August 11th. Joseph Eskenazi died September 9th. Joseph Richard died September 27th. With this in mind, these are the remaining survivors I know of. Louis Conter (102) - USS Arizona survivor. Ike Schab (103) Herbert Elfring (100) Horace Hamilton (99) Sterling Cale (101) Possibly alive? Freeman Johnson (103) - No confirmation since 2021. Right now 5 Pearl Harbor survivors I can confirm alive but let's wait for the Pearl Harbor anniversary to be sure, since that's when living survivors come up in the news.

I have sent my entry in.

Thomas K. Delahanty, the police officer who was shot during the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan is most likely still alive at the age of either 87 or 88. There's not been any confirmation of him being alive since 2016 and he's also known to be a quite reclusive so dying under the radar isn't something I would rule out, although I doubt that would happen because his death will definitely get some news coverage in the American press. -
Feels like we've been losing a lot of Harry Potter actors as of late. It's actually a bit sad, HP was something I associate with my school days (it had gotten super popular at that time) and now we've reached that time where the older actors have began to die off.

He's still generally pretty active and involved in the motorsport world and appeared on a podcast interview with Justin Bell (ex racer and Derek Bell's son) last year. Seemed very well and was very sharp through the interview. Also posts quite often on his Twitter and the account is fully operated by him, so I'm assuming there's nothing major going on. Anyway I don't think he needs to be considered in 2024. In fact I can't think of any Formula 1 drivers right now at the moment that come off as immediate DL potential, the ones who were in the last 1-2 years have already passed away (Brooks, McAlpine, Reutemann, Jabouille, Tambay etc.).

My mid season replacement Zoleka Mandela is dead, but there hasn't been any news outside the South African press. Waiting on a proper QO here. EDIT: BBC Obit

This is a sad one for me. David was a great actor indeed. Loved his role on NCIS, but I'll also remember some of his voice acting roles in some of the shows I watched as a teenager. He also narrated the World War II documentary D-Day at Pointe-du-Hoc in 2019 (which I haven't actually watched surprisingly, will do so today). RIP.

Giorgio Napolitano is a hit for several of us.
