    People who've got a thread

A while ago there were seven threads that'll be 18 this year (made in 2003), with the subject is still alive. Now, after the death of Phil, there's only 6: Robert De Niro (born 1943) Oldest but healthiest? Richard O'Sullivan (born 1944) Suffered a stroke in 2003, doesn't seem to be in a bad condition. Robbie Coltrane (born 1950) Has and has had health issues for a long time, was in a wheelchair in 2019 (is he still?) Sharon Osbourne (born 1952) Has had cancers and other health problems Tony Blair (born 1953) Looks a few years older than what he is, not known to have bad health problems. Shane MacGowan (born 1957) Current deathlister. Seems to have been in failing health for years. Which one will be the last? I'd say Blair or De Niro.

As film director Cecil B. DeMille (1881-1959) is mentioned in the description of this thread, I decided to check how many main DeMille actors are alive. The list isn't large: Samson and Delilah (1949): Angela Lansbury (born 1925) Russ Tamblyn (born 1934) The Ten Commandments (1956): Debra Paget (born 1933) Fraser Clarke Heston (born 1955) DeMille as executive producer: When Worlds Collide (1951): Barbara Rush (born 1927) Rachel Ames (born 1929) The War of the Worlds (1953): Ann Robinson (born 1929) The Buccaneer (1958): Claire Bloom (born 1931) DeMille also had cameos in: Glamour Boy (1941), only alive actor is Darryl Hickman (born 1931) Sunset Boulevard (1950), only alive actor is Nancy Olson (born 1928) Son of Paleface (1952), only alive actor is Sylvia Lewis (born 1931) The Buster Keaton Story (1957), only alive actor is Ann Blyth (born 1928)

    Political Frailty

I was thinking about the term "Gang of Four" today, and was wondering if it's been used more than two times. Yes, it has. So, more useless lists! As most of us know, the original Gang of Four was four Chinese politicians: Jiang Qing (1914-1991) Zhang Chunqiao (1917-2005) Yao Wenyan (1930-2005) Wang Hongwen (1935-1992) So here's a list of other political gangs of four, only 1900s ones included: Afghanistan, Khalqist govt ministers: Mohammad Aslam Watanjar (1946-2000) Sayed Mohammad Gulabzoy (born 1951) Sherjan Mazdooryar (?) Assadullah Sarwari (born 1930) Pakistan: First one, supporters of Zia-Ul-Haq: Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq (1924-1988) Akhtar Rahman (1924-1988) Rahimuddin Khan (born 1924) Zahid Ali Akbar (born 1933) Second one, supporters of Musharraf: Ehsan ul-Haq (born 1949) Aziz Khan (born 1947) Mahmood Ahman (born 1944) Shahid Aziz (birth date unknown, probably died in 2018) USA: Harlem, African-american political coalition: David Dinkins (1927-2020) Basil Paterson (1926-2014) Charles Rangel (born 1930) Percy Sutton (1920-2009) Seattle, radical minority activists: Bernie Whitebear (1937-2000) Bob Santos (1934-2016) Roberto Maestas (1938-2010) Larry Gossett (born 1945) Pro-Contra, Nicaraguan contra-founding group: Bernard W. Aronson (born 1946) Bruce P. Cameron (possibly 1942-2018) Robert S. Leiken (1939-2017) Penn Kemble (1941-2005) I'm pretty sure the SDP Gang of Four will outlive atleast two of these groups.

    1. Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

I don't think they were close enough to Phil to get to top 30. But anyways, here they are: Prince Georg Andreas Heinrich of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (born 1938): Doesn't seem to like being in public much. Only a few pictures of him exist, one which I'm sure includes him from 2007. I'm not going to post it here as there are two men in the picture and I'm not 100% sure which one of them he is. Picture from 2017: Prince Maximillian Andreas Friedrich Gustav Ernst August Bernhard of Baden (born 1933): As the head of the house of Baden, he's probably the most known of the children of DoE's sisters. Looks like an hairless Stan Lee. Prince Ludwig Wilhelm Georg Ernst Christoph of Baden (born 1937): Another royal who doesn't seem to like publicity. Second picture of him with Phil and Liz. Prince Karl of Hesse (born 1937): Yet another ghoul in the family. Prince Rainer Christoph Friedrich of Hesse (born 1939): Actually born 1939. Unmarried and no issue. Princess Clarissa Alice of Hesse (born 1944): Can't find any photos of her from the last 40 years. Prince Georg of Hanover (born 1949): Friederike and Georg are from Sophie's marriage with Georg of Hanover (1915-2006). The picture is of the younger Georg with his mother in 1996. Princess Friederike of Hanover (born 1954): Another fucking mystery.

    Who are the immortals?

My list of immortal-candidates, some with more health issues and some with less, most could be considered if they're still alive in around a year or two: Boris Pahor (born 1913) Slovene Necropolis author, holocaust survivor still alive and going to be 108 this year. Arne Konrad Eldegard (born 1917) Norwegian politician. Didn't look at the camera on his 100th birthday which can be a sign of some age-related issues, but I don't know if he has any Eduard Kuuskor (born 1918) Estonian soldier, geologist and radio operator. Looked absolutely horrible over three years ago, speaks very unclearly. As seen in that video, needed help to stand. Looks even more skeletal nowadays. Vassos Lyssarides (born 1920) Probably the only Cypriot that could be considered an immortal and for a number of reasons: He's a very known political figure in his country and a former representative and political party leader. He's looked like a 120-year old G. Venkatasubbiah for the last decade and was hospitalized for breathing issues in February 2020, but survived and went on to celebrate his 100th. Hazel McCallion (born 1921) Canadian ancient politician. Ele Alenius (born 1925) The Finnish Lyssarides, a former parliament member and party leader, minister in the 60s and 70s and book writer. Had a stroke in 2018 and moved to a care home in 2021. Nikolai Ryzhkov (born 1929) Soviet official, Gorbachev's prime minister. Suffered a serious heart attack in 1990, overweight. Dries Van Agt (born 1931) Dutch politician and former prime minister. Suffered a stroke in 2019 but still doing great and smoking joints. Than Shwe (born 1933/1935) Burmese strongman and former military dictator. Has had health issues since 2006 and hasn't been seen in public for a long time despite the coup his successor organized. Kamuta Latasi and Tulaga Manuella (born 1936) Former Tuvaluan Gov-Gen and PM. No serious health issues but extremely old for Tuvaluans. Abdelaziz Bouteflika (born 1937) Algerian former dictator. Has been wheelchair-bound and frail for years and a laughingstock for Algerian twitterists because he's still alive. Paavo Lipponen (born 1941) Former Finnish prime minister. Young compared to most of the ones I've listed above but he's broken some records with heart-related issues: Hospitalized multiple times in the 1990s and 2000s, heart problems started in 2012, got a heart attack in 2017 and had an open-heart surgery and six bypass surgeries, hospitalized again in 2019. Wife doesn't live in the same house as Lipponen due to covid and Lipponen can't walk much nowadays. Margarita Terekhova (born 1942) Russian actress. Alzheimer's since 2006, some reports say that it started to affect her badly in 2011 and still not dead. Couldn't recognize any of her family members in 2019, can't speak, bedridden and her family doesn't have money for her treatment. Vesa-Matti Loiri (born 1945) Finnish comedian, hospitalized tens of times during the last 50 years first for using a ton of drugs, mental problems, in the 2000s and 2010s for being extremely obese, alcohol and tobacco user, was in a wheelchair for a long time in the 2010s. In new pictures, looks like he's wearing a plastic mask of himself. Levon "LTP" Ter-Petrosyan (born 1945) First President of Armenia. Heavy smoker, has had colorectal cancer. One to consider if he lives around five years. Tempt One (born 1968/1969) American graffiti artist icon extremely resisant towards ALS. He was diagnosed with it in 2003. Seems to have been bedridden for the last 9 years and communicates with his eyes. Still doing art and selling it to pay his hospital bills. As you can hear in that video from 2012 he has had near-to-death situations already back then.
