Why no Indians ever in DeathList?

Saalumarada Thimmakka (Indian woman who planted a lot of trees and got some international fame for it, Padma Shri, immortals lister, claims to be somewhere between 104 and 114 but is actually "only" 94 or 95) visited by Karnataka CM who wishes her good health. I wonder if this is just a random visit or if she's ill. She had multiple ICU visits between 2012 and 2021 but has been relatively stable for the last two years. However she has apparently suffered from COPD for more than a decade.

Why no Indians ever in DeathList?

It's "brain tumor complications" and he's in semicoma but stable. To avoid confusion this is Manohar Joshi (85) who was the Maharashtra CM 1995-1999 succeeding Sharad Pawar and an influential leader of ultranationalist far-right Shiv Sena, not Murli Manohar Joshi (89) former home minister and alleged sex abuser. Both mentioned here before

The Cardinals Of The Roman Catholic Church

Might want to keep an eye on Camillo Ruini, major conservative cardinal. Has been quite frail/in failing health for years (already used a walking stick in 2015) but looked very frail at pope benedict's and cardinal pell's vatican funeral services in January.

    Who are the immortals?

This one is higher in quality: That's atleast a Nutricia Flocare Infinity feeding pump in the background. He looks...decaying in this image but looked great and lucid in the video that's been posted on Chinese social media (which suprises me as he was apparently suffering from major memory loss in 2018). Even though this is from two months ago I'd be very suprised if he made it to his 110th. I doubt someone in that condition can be kept alive for a very long time. Doing very well for someone who was in coma in 1936 though. Edit: In other news, Sheikh Salem's internet prize was recently awarded to Vint Cerf. I don't think he's ever participated in ceremonies related to the prize and one of his daughters is now the Chairperson of the trustee board of the award. As far as I know old Sheikh Salem only holds the National Guard Chief position nowadays, occasionally releasing statements that could as well have been written by someone else.

    Wrestlers/actors

I was going to mention this before but forgot to - his health has been absolutely horrible as we know (congestive heart failure and other ailments) but he was actually recovering from that spinal injury at the start of the year, was even going to start attending events again, but then he had a septic shock in February and was in critical condition in ICU. I think there's been no news since and his instagram has been completely quiet.

    World War II Veterans

As we're listing lasts... Finnish Infantry Regiment 200 aka. "soomepoisid" ("Finnish Boys"). Estonian volunteers who fought for Finland. There were 134 at the start of 2017. This article from early 2021 says that there are 15 living in Estonia and "around twenty" outside Estonia. A very recent source says there are have been only four in Estonia since Oliver Tammsalu died a month ago. Soomepoisid facebook said in June 2022 that there should be a total of around 18 alive. Addold Mossin, 103: Neopaganist and political activist. According to online telephone directories, lives in Sweden's Täby. Alive as of December 2022, but last appearance was September 2016 and he was already decrepit back then. Erich Anton, 96: In good health last summer. Died 7 September 2023. Taavi Kaups, 96: Lives in Chicago. Was using a frame in 2021. Died 8 February 2024. Lembit Kaselaan, 98: Not in best health but was well enough to be interviewed last year. Died 30 May 2023. Gustav Pitka, 98: Been a while since his last appearance. Edgar Mänd, 98: "In good health" but not seen in years. Heino Sepp, 96: As above. Riho Leipalu, 99: Lives in an apartment building/care home in Rönninge, Sweden. Died on the 30th of November 2023. Jaanus Jahilo, 98: Able to walk without aid and still attending events frequently. Probably in the best health out of this group. Artur Roopalu, 98: Still attending events but uses a walking stick. Raivo Rähni, 98: Alive according to Soomepoisid facebook. Endel Hert, 97: As above. Harri Mutvei, 97: Paleozoologist apparently still working! Lives in Stockholm, Sweden. Henry Heino Kivi, 99/100: Alive in 2020 according to Finland's Sotaveteraaniliitto and the Soomepoisid facebook wished him a happy birthday in 2023.

    MMMDP 2023

MMMDP Form Guide #11 Hal Lindsey A forgotten gem among the United States' religious cult leaders/fearmongers and one of Ronald Reagan's favourites, at 93 he's older than Pat Robertson, Farrakhan, the Copeland demon and others. With Carole C. Carlson (1925-1999) as ghostwriter he wrote best-selling The Late Great Planet Earth in 1970, telling about how the world is doomed. It sold over 15 million copies and was later adapted into a film narrated by Orson Welles. He went on to write more books such as Satan Is Alive and Well on Planet Earth, When is Jesus Coming Again, The 1980's: Countdown to Armageddon, Planet Earth 2000 A.D.: Will Mankind Survive?, Planet Earth: The Final Chapter and Faith for Earth's Final Hour and preaching to his followers until he retired in 2019, apparently due to health problems after years of having looked like Tom Selleck at 150. He hasn't been seen much since then. The world didn't end in the 1980s and the Soviet Union never ended up invading Israel, but I predict Hal might be a good pick in the 2023 MMMDP.

    Kim Jong-Un

Turns out Han Chang-ho is alive and gets 100th birthday award from KJU. Probably the oldest of the remaining 63 Kim believers ("Unconverted long-term prisoners") who went back to North Korea in 2000. I think him getting the award proves that Pak Mun-jae is dead, considering he didn't get it last year, he looked terrible in 2020. I wouldn't recommend picking Chang-ho in Centenarians DP as while they still get other attention (such as birthday mentions every ten years), as I mentioned before seems like NK completely stopped giving death mentions of that group around 2015. There's also atleast one case in the yellow names that I assume was purged (some others have been rumored purged too), but I can't remember who exactly it was.

    MMMDP 2023

MMMDP Form Guide #7 Moses Ali He doesn't really float like a butterfly as a while ago he was over 500lbs/230kg in size, but his ailments have stung him like a swarm of bees. Most known for falling over trying to kick a football and Idi Amin throwing a trashcan at him, the Ugandan general/politician has been in utterly failing health for a while. In January 2021 he was in India for treatment. August 2021 he was fighting for his life in Turkey with covid. Last year he had a fall in parliament, was rumored dead atleast once and missed multiple events, battling a "serious illness". He's been said to be very ill this year too. As he still holds political positions at 84 and is barely alive, he's pretty much Uganda's own version of the already suggested Frankenstein's Dianne, but six times larger in size, wheelchairs not counted.

    Alexander Lukashenko

I don't think he'll die yet (maybe in a year, two, three) and I don't think he'll die from natural causes. He's humiliated his former daddy Putler a few times now though. I also think his predecessor Myechyslaw Hryb will die before him. Hryb had rough covid and bilateral pneumonia two years ago suffering permanent lung damage.

    The Happy Birthday Thread

Japanese singer, screen, stage and voice actor, drag queen, director, composer and hibakusha Akihiro Miwa (real name Akihiro Maruyama, but much better known by his stage name) is 88 today Miwa was born in Nagasaki in 1935. His father, who owned a cafe-nightclub, was accused of "supporting the enemy's culture" early during World War II. On August 9, 1945, the day the US dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Miwa was a fourth-grade pupil at Sako National Elementary School drawing a picture for his summer holiday homework. After finishing that picture, he took a few steps back to look at it. Suddenly, as he describes it: "there was an intense flash of light, as if all the magnesium on earth were burned at once. Light and darkness was reversed before his eyes. Miwa heard the ground rumbling. The glass windows shattered and the roofing tiles fell on their heads." Miwa, his brother and the family housemaid ran barefoot to an air raid shelter. He later met his father (who had escaped without being injured as he had taken a day off work) in the shelter and the family decided to evacuate to another part of Nagasaki. He saw horrors on the journey, for example a man who had been crushed under a building grabbed his arm, skin falling off him and at a hospital a long line of people in horrible condition. He's suffered from health effects from the radiation since, including anemia, chronic bronchitis and other illnesses that in the 1980s and 1990s were so severe he had to end his stage acting career. He also suffered a severe stroke in 2019, but has recovered well. Akihiro Miwa's career as a singer and cabaret performer started at 17 in 1952, he sang French chansons of for example Édith Piaf, Yvette Guilbert and Marie Dubas in Tokyo's nightclubs. See the image - his first major hit was Gilbert Bécaud's Me Que Me Que (1953) in Japanese in 1957, one of the reasons it was very popular was that it included profanities not yet used in Japanese media at the time. He often dressed in feminine or unisex clothes and had a "genderless appearance", earning the nicknames "sister boy" and "most beautiful boy since Jinmu". During his long career he's worked with numerous notable directors and actors, for example Shūji Terayama, Kinji Fukasaku and Hayao Miyazaki. He's also still working, here's an image from a recent ad campaign: Facts about Akihiro Miwa: - He owns a record signed by Édith Piaf. - He has dyed his hair since his 30s when it turned gray due to chronic ailments. - He publicly came out as gay in the 1960s, becoming one of Japan's first openly gay celebrities. - Miwa is a popular symbol of luck in Taiwan, and Taiwan's Ministry of Finance has claimed that saving a picture of Akihiro Miwa as a cell phone background will increase chances of winning Taiwan's receipt lottery. - He's voiced pokemon characters such as Arceus, and Studio Ghibli characters, for example Witch of the Waste. - He's a Buddhist and knew late nun Jakucho Setouchi well, they once released a book together.

I think this might actually be his time. Most recent facebook post (from two hours ago) asks for "urgent prayers" as doctors want to remove him from life support, but family is refusing...
