    World War II Veterans

Ebou Janha, last surviving WWII vet of the 1 Gambia Regiment died earlier this month at 102: Despite the Al Jazeera article, seems he didn't even get any local obits. I wonder if "Ghana's Tom Moore" Joseph Ashiteye Hammond is still alive.

According to his Arabic wiki Hashim Aqrawi died on 10 May 1990. This LA Times article says he was "ailing" in July 1989, so I assume that death date is correct.

    Who are the immortals?

Kaikala Satyanarayana is 87 today, and here's a rare new video of him: Bedbound, and look at all those tubes... However I have to say it's a miracle that he even survived multiple organ failure (low survival rate, around 42% on average, not sure what it's at his age) and septic shock at 86 (survival rate a bit over 20% for people over 80) and everything else he had, and it's been six months. It'd be interesting if he lived another few years, but what's the life expectancy of someone with a permanent tracheostomy...

Thiounn Mumm died around March according to a post by facebook user Fichenou Lapaix, March 29. Translated from French. In recent days, several Cambodians have paid tributes on Facebook to Thiounn Mumm, one of the Pol Pot regime's "intellectual" bonds, who died in Paris aged 96. These admirers feel veneration for this "great man" from polytechnic, who is one of the four very famous "intellectual" brothers who served the Khmer Rouge regime. He is the third son of the powerful aristocratic family that has been linked to monarchic power since the French protectorate. Indeed, his grandfather, Thiounn, was the palace minister from 1902 to 1941. The Thiounn brothers curiously escaped the Khmer Red Purges while several important cadres were eliminated in S-21. They held important positions, but they did not have the decision-making power. They still remained loyal to Pol Pot for several years after the fall of Khmer Reds in 1979. Can't find any articles or other confirmation, knowing his Khmer name could help.

    Non-British Royals

Updated the list. The oldest male royal, excluding Saudi nobodies who you can't find any information online, is probably now either Sheikh Salem al-Ali al-Sabah or Sheikh Tahnoun bin M. Both born in 1926, but as far as I know their exact birthdates aren't known...Kuwait's Sheikh Salem was rumored dead in October 2020 when he was ill and has been wheelchairbound for over a decade. Tahnoun of the UAE is doing fine and has a twitter account.

    The 100 Club

Some kind of an update post: Mani Kumar Chetri seems to still work. Thanga Darlong is still "healthy", but looks much thinner than a few years ago. Pravrajika Bhaktiprana (President Mataji) seems to be doing fine, but she's been wheelchairbound for over a decade. Her VP at the Sri Sarada Math, Pravrajika Anandapranaji was hospitalised in January due to "pneumonia and other complications" but discharged a month later. Weird thing is that she was discharged in critical condition, so they probably expected her to die. However she recovered. Since 2014 the Math's website has given updates on the health of Bhaktiprana and since around October 2020 also on the health of Anandapranaji. They also usually give a full health history and death cause in their obituaries. Here is a picture of Bhaktiprana from the most recent update, April 2022:
