I should have gotten more input before creating this thread. I think my reasoning was that former U.S. Secretary of State, George Schultz had received a thread when he was in his mid eighties.
-
Some names worth examining for future threads (although I recognize they may be too minor for such an honor). I apologize in advance if they've already been mentioned in this thread. Edward Fox (born 1937) Starred in 'Day of the Jackal' and 'Edward & Mrs. Simpson'. Honorable mentions include 'Battle of Britain' and 'Gandhi'. Judy Cornwell (1940) Daisy in Keeping up Appearances John Alderton (1940) Common face on 70's TV in Britain/Pauline Collins husband Pauline Collins (1940) Sarah from Upstairs Downstairs Also, any thoughts on creating threads for the cast of Upstairs Downstairs (1971-1975) and Keeping up Appearances. Not sure if KUA already has one, but if Vicar of Dibley has one, KUA certainly deserves one.

I went with George Dzundza because he's old and fat apparently.
-
I don't see the need to have both the Carter's on the list at the same time. She'll easily outlast her husband. I'd wait till he's passed to add her to the official list.

Report to the Commissioner (1975) was another great one. He dropped off in the 90s and relocated to Canada last I heard.
-
Judging by your pics, i'm guessing you're a Law and Order fan. Both great actors, but Moriarty and Dzundza left the series before it became mainstream. Their replacements, Sam Waterston and Jerry Orbach were really the ones who reaped fame from their association with the series.

I think dropping the former Pope, Yoko as well as the failure to include Sandra Day O'Connor are huge misses. I would have also liked to have seen Redgrave, Walters, Nelson and Boothroyd stay on the list. I'm fine with Dick Van Dyke on the list, but does he really belong in the top five? I'm actually pleased with Gambon's appearance on the list. A bit of a wildcard pick, but not a dumb one.

Ray Illingworth, cricketer and former England captain, is now battling advanced esophageal cancer and wants the right to end his life.

At first, I was worried you were talking about me.

I think the committee should strongly consider her for the 2022 list. She can't be in great shape at this point.

Joe Arpaio (Born 1932) "America's Toughest Sheriff" served as Sheriff of Maricopa County Arizona for 24 years (1993-2017). Arpaio became a national figure due to his outspoken stance against illegal immigration. Among other controversies, he humiliated correctional inmates by forcing them to wear pink, and reside in tent cities in the Arizona desert heat. Convicted of criminal contempt in 2017, he was quickly pardoned by Trump. No none health ailments aside from being terminally racist.

Point well taken, but i'd argue he's had a more prolific career than Bill Gates father did.

None that are known of. He does still occasionally give interviews, and appears quite lucid and alert despite his advanced age.
-
When you only have 50 available slots, and can only recycle 25 from the previous year, it's pretty hard to fit everyone. I saw an interview he did last year and he seemed in good health.

I dare say that by 2050, she will also be the last surviving cast member of Hot in Cleveland.

https://www.cbs42.com/news/bill-cosby-spokesman-releases-new-prison-photo/ Article from October of 2020 states that the disgraced comedian had two major surgeries within the last year to clear blocked arteries. Reports in 2019 also suggested that Cosby was showing the early signs of dementia. Perhaps a candidate for the 2022 list.

She's lost a granddaughter in 2019 to a drug overdose, and another granddaughter and great grandson to a boat accident in 2020.

I edited my original post because it didn't make sense.

These globalist types always seem to live forever. Take David Rockefeller (1915-2017) for example. Kissinger has been in rough shape for a while, but is still quite active. Throughout the pandemic, he's participated remotely in a number of forums on diplomacy. I personally see him making it into 2024.

I suspect when the grim reaper arrives at her door to inform her that she has "kicked the bucket", no doubt she will grimace and inform him it's, "kicked the bouquet" and shut the door in his face.

Emmet, has her at the top of his list.
