Isn't that the second time Homebase has gone/nearly gone under now? Another one of those that has been posting losses/barely getting by for years. Not a surprise, especially with The Range (who's buying up 75 of the 130 Homebase stores) now standing where Wilko stood.

The thing about Tupperware is that 1) they last ages and 2) there's cut-price Chinese knock offs readily available. They haven't really got a USP in this day and age.

Whenever I'm expecting deliveries, I open my window so I can hear the driver pulling up. This is because they knock the door with the strength of a midge and then run straight off. I once had a driver who shit talked me to a passer-by outside for "not answering the door", despite the fact he definitely didn't knock (loudly) because I'd've heard it.

I think that is their aim. They're all clowns, but it's the matter of picking the Tory whose shoes won't squeak the loudest (ie, stay out of the headlines for the wrong reasons as much as possible).
