    Not to nitpick but it's "Steel Curtain" and, while the term has come to be applied to the entire defense, it originally only referred to the defensive line.

    Also include surfing legend Sunny Garcia on this list.  His present state is a complete mystery but after his attempted suicide, several years ago, his family decided to keep him alive as, basically, a potted plant.

    I'm genuinely surprised he went this year.  Willie Nelson is going to outlive everyone he's ever collaborated with, no matter how much younger they are, I guess.  Look out, Jessica Simpson.

    - Wilson's actual first name was Thomas, and he went by his middle name- derived from his mother's maiden name. While his grandfather James was an abolitionist, his father Joseph supported the Confederacy during the Civil War.

    - Wilson is the only US president to receive a PhD degree, awarded to him by Johns Hopkins University in 1886. He would later serve as a professor of history and political science, and would be promoted to the president of Princeton University in 1902. For these reasons, he has been nicknamed "The Schoolmaster" by some.

    - Wilson's tenure at Princeton got New Jersey's Democratic Party officials to encourage him to run for governor, and he won the 1910 election. Wilson quickly became a rising star in the party, and was the Democratic nominee for president in 1912- winning in a landslide due to the Republicans splitting between Theodore Roosevelt and the incumbent William Howard Taft.

    - Wilson's presidency is known for introducing the Federal Reserve, failing to stay out of World War I after three years of isolationism (leading to the League of Nations, which earned him the 1920 Nobel Peace Prize), and screening the first movie shown at the White House- The Birth of a Nation (Wilson was horribly racist and openly tried to remove Black people from federal jobs).

    - In 1919, Wilson suffered a severe stroke that left him bedbound- his wife Edith would determine which documents would be given to him, and some jest she was the first female US president. By 1920, news of his condition reached the public, and although he wished to seek a third term, his political party quickly disassociated with him to find a healthier candidate. He was unable to attend Warren G. Harding's inauguration, although the two of them had tea together the day before. His health would not improve over the last three years of his life.

    Biden will win again because Trump has no means of expanding his voter base beyond the rabid cult members who, while they have clung on in great enough number to overwhelm the republican party, are nowhere near strong enough in number to carry a general election.  Democrat voters who may have become apathetic enough, after 4 years of this Biden garbage, to stay home in November will come out in numbers simply to oppose Trump while independents, who would have probably broken for a Desantis by a significant margin, will just stay home (I know I will).  The orange death cult turned the entire election into a referendum on the guy only they like and have done in the country as a result.

    Hasn’t happened in a while. Will it matter by December? Perhaps. Perhaps not. If folk look back at your team, will they know who the hell they were? Does that matter?

     

    Maybe things can be improved, I still don’t see how any rule change would alter the guy’s eligibility. I’m losing no sleep over it!

     

    You'd think some compromise could be come to regarding public servants as there are so many levels of elected official.  I just keep getting stuck on the fact the guy's ward has a population of just 10 thousand people.

    If I'm "still" whining it's because it's a decision that effects the entire year.  My apologies for caring about the game.  There's text within the FFBI rule that does state "it’s a start which can be built on in the future if need be".  At least least, this pick should start a dialogue towards a higher bar.

    Thing is, though, you all picked a non-celebrity.  It's not a matter of shrugging it off because there should've been no expectation of that pick even being allowed.  Rantzen actually had a notable career.
