I'll jump on the bandwagon and give you some recommendations for each Doctor for someone who seems to be starting off. 1. The Romans (fun historical, this was the serial that made Harntell my favourite Doctor and the 1960s my favourite era) 2. The Macra Terror (It's animated if that's a put off but then so many of Troughton's are, most of my favourite's from him are quite long but this is short and snappy and creepy) 3. The Time Warrior (one of the most 'new-who' like classic episodes, sontarans at their peak, Sarah Jane's first adventure and it's got Dot Cotton from Eastenders what more could you want) 4. The Androids of Tara (My personal favourite of Tom Bakers, medieval sci-fi) 5. The Visitation (alien lizards in the 1600s, I'm not a fan of this era as a whole and a lot of my recommendations are against the grain but this one is usually held in quite high regard) 6. Vengeance on Varos (dark, gritty and gruesome) 7. Delta and the Bannermen (This is my favourite McCoy not for the right reasons mind-you, it's incredibly camp and fun and the writing is atrocious, however I love all the side characters, one I'd recommend after a few drinks)

Anyone able to find out any information on the age or living status of British actor Griffith Davies (IMDb), active from 1961-1984. Helpful information is that his full name is (or was) Michael Griffith-Davies and married Jacqueline Ellis in 1964, but the couple have since divorced.

The finale of Inside No.9 aired about half an hour ago and it brought back a lot of cast members from its 9 season run, of the older cast there were, in my opinion, 4 notable absences to potentially keep an eye on. 1. Sir Derek Jacobi - Only actor other than Steve and Reece to be in two separate episodes, most likely just too busy. 2. Timothy West - Appeared in the very first episode but wasn't featured in the ensemble from that episode or in the crowd, potentially retired from acting. 3. Julian Glover - Appeared in a season 6 episode, maybe he was too busy but according to IMDb he doesn't seem to have a lot on. 4. Stephanie Cole - Was the main guest star of the live episode in 2018, I would put money on her having been invited, probably the one I'm most worried about.

Hard(y) luck 8/50 11th June 2024 French singer and part-time actress Françoise Hardy has died. Hardy’s long career performing began in 1961 when she was signed to the now defunct label ‘Disques Vogue’, with her first EP being released the following May featuring her first hit song ‘Tous les garçons et les filles’. Despite the song being relegated to the B-side of the record, it was propelled into No.1 on the French charts (for 15 non-consecutive weeks) and the UK top 40. In 1968 her album ‘Comment te dire adieu’ reached the number 2 position in the French album charts, however despite numerous top 10 albums throughout her career she never managed to claim the number one spot. Her musical career spanned decades but finally came to an end in 2021 when, due to ongoing health issues, she became unable to sing. Hardy’s acting career was small, as music was always her true passion, with a number of her credits coming as a result of musical performances and cameo appearances. In 2008 she released her autobiography which sold a quarter of a million copies and became a bestseller in France and in 2012 she wrote a romantic fiction novel as a tie-in with one of her many albums. She was one of the best selling French musical artists of all time, selling over 7.5 million records throughout her career. Hardy was first diagnosed with laryngeal cancer in the early 2000s and underwent successful chemotherapy, however the disease returned in 2015. In her past few years, as her health has worsened, she became a vocal supporter of assisted suicide. Françoise Hardy died yesterday aged 80. She was making her 3rd appearance on the Crowdsourced Deathlist, this year at no.35.
