I don't understand the reputation system on here at all. From what I can tell thanks, like and haha are the only ones that hold value, everything else does nothing to the reputation score. Then there's the leaderboard tab that only shows posts from previous days that have received reactions and not the most liked posts of the day as you might expect.

Sadly I'm going to be working through the live broadcast slot. I'm hoping to watch the first one either at midnight or in the morning (depends how tired I am in a couple of hours) then the second I'll try to slot into my lunch hour, if not I want be watching until post-broadcast, which is annoying. As much as my gut instinct was against the midnight release for many reasons now I've had more time to get used to the idea I think it's quite good and has allowed me to schedule watching around what I'm doing, so I take back a lot of what I said before.

I hate defecations, especially this close to an election, in my opinion it just shows how dissimilar the parties are politically and makes the MP seem untrustworthy. I understand that MPs can grow disillusioned with their party but resigning either as an MP or the party whip is much preferable to me.

None of my immediate family voted Tory in these elections (despite a few of them having a (long) history with the party), so I'm really interested in seeing how things turned out in my area.

I'm sure that many BBC journalists frequent the deathlist forums (sarcasm), but most young people don't vote either because they're disillusioned with the current state of politics or they just don't know anything about politics in general. My best friend hasn't voted because he doesn't know what's going on aside from PM changes (I don't think he knows that Yousaf has resigned). So saying 2024 is more understandable for older folk.

Was just wondering if anyone could give a more specific date of death for actress Jennifer Hill (IMDb). Last year it was revealed that she had had an brief fling with Sir David Jason in the 60s that resulted in her becoming pregnant and having a daughter, when this was announced at the end of March articles used the present tense to describe her, signifying she was possibly still alive, however Toby Hadoke included her in his in memoriam video in December, signifying she had died by that point. This makes me assume she died some-point between late March and December 2023, however it is possible that she had died earlier than that and the affair revelations only came out because she was dead. It's a common name but we do have a year (1936) and a location of birth (Port Talbot, Wales), anyone have any ideas.

I might be over 60 years too late but I've just started watching Dad's Army, I've put on a couple of episodes every night for the past few days and I've completely fallen in love with the show and all it's characters, to say it's got a timeless charm is probably an understatement.
