Just watched Titanic for the first time, given the legacy that film has built up over the past 25 years I was expecting to be disappointed, but considering the range of emotions I felt throughout I can't say I was, I was glued to the screen from minute one. -
It's a video of her at some sort of meet and greet and a man performs a current trendy dance (to Charli XCX's Apple) whilst she watches from her wheelchair and claps when he's done. She seemed quite well tbh.

Sally Sweetland — I’m Walking Behind You -2 12 The Stargazers — Broken Wings I’ve given them all a listen and taken a note on which I do or do not like, the only ones I already knew were How Much Is That Doggie and You Belong To Me (and that’s only because Rick Astley has covered it). From a modern perspective I find it quite odd that two people could go to number 1 with the same song in different weeks, and out of the two versions of ‘Answer Me’ I much preferred Whitfield’s. -
Kill or Save: UK No.1 Hits of the 10s

I may participate in the 50s round, depends if I have time to familiarise myself with the songs as I presume almost all of them will by unknown to me given they'll all be older than my parents. Thanks TQR for doing this. I don't know what stage the 80s No.3s game is currently at but would it be poor etiquette for me to start voting there having never voted before in that game. -

Well although I'm not particularly happy about the result, I have very much enjoyed the game, when we inevitably do a 2010s No.2s count me in. -

17/08/2024 (just about) 39 Gotye ft. Kimbra — Somebody That I Used To Know -6 16 OneRepublic — Counting Stars +4 09 Harry Styles — Sign Of The Times I haven't voted in over a week as I was getting bored and could see that non of my favourites were in with a chance (and the songs that were are ones I really don't like), but as we are down to the final 3 I'll happily cause a bit of honest disruption. -
Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread

It was announced a month or so ago that Sean Wilson (Martin Platt) would be returning to Coronation Street for Helen Worth's (Gail) exit storyline. This evening it has been suddenly announced that he's not coming back despite a number of scenes having already been filmed, which is incredibly unusual for any soap. There are conflicting reports as to if he's been fired or if he's gone of his own accord, with some sources saying he's left for 'personal reasons' and some saying he was called into the office and sacked. My first 2 thoughts were potential health issues or some sort of criminal scandal. Either way it's something to keep an eye on and I doubt it's the last we'll hear about it. -
Deadpool Detective Work
Commtech Sio Bibble replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList Forum
In case anyone is interested this evening I emailed Mark Llewellin, the ex-partner of Roy Barraclough and friend of many on the Corrie cast, and according to him Davies died a few years before Lynne Perrie (Ivy Tilsley) who died in 2006. So it would seem he died off the radar at some point between 2002-2006, probably on the earlier side of that range. -

The person I'm trying to track down information on at the moment is Ron Davies, probably best known for playing George Wardle in Coronation Street in the mid-80s. Career spanning 1969-2002. It's annoying trying to research because there are numerous other notable people with the same name. There's very little information about him online. As far as I can discern he was once married and divorced and has also worked as a cruise singer and dialect coach (in Italy and Germany). If he was still alive I'd guess he'd be in his late 80s or 90s. -
I woke up to a thunderstorm this morning and it's been cloudy every since, it must all be down south because it's the coolest it's been all week where I am.

I added Lillian to my list of potential DDP picks a few weeks ago, she pops up on my tiktok timeline once or twice a week. She had a fall of some sort earlier this year and ended up in hospital, she's been in a care/residential home since and her usually high energy videos have slowed down, it's been quite sad to watch.

I've always thought Epstein and Scott Bakula look very similar, to the extent that when the Epstein scandal was headline news in 2018/2019 I thought that they were the same person.

Ideas and possibilities for 2025
Commtech Sio Bibble replied to Paul Bearer's topic in DeathList Forum
I would do but, as he's no longer an MP I'd be wiser to suggest Suella Braverman or Nigel Farage. Or Jimmy Carter, just to see if that's the final push he needs. -

If it existed I would probably end up posting at least once a week about her music, so probably (definitely, please) don't.

Very minor thing, on the list of picks for Simpsons actors, you've got my initials (cb) twice for James Earl Jones and 0 times for Thomas Pynchon.
