It was always an odd fit Wright and Pick of the Pops - he never mastered the chart rundown before the number 1 - one week the jingle was just about out of time and he wasn't on the top 3 announcement. Gambo and Blackburn even Dale Winton had the run down off to a tee. I hope they don't axe it as its part of my pre football warm up.

I know we're normally hardbitten here, but listening to Bobbie Prior literally sobbing over the traffic even got me on Radio 2. Then his closure theme at top of the hour at 559pm into the news. My turn to leak a few tears.

Miserable Mav as I recall. She got a bit brighter as a character then died of cancer. -

Snap - if only that people in the 40s on the list tend to go earlier at the start of the year.

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
Philheybrookbay1 replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Whilst the element of surprise is slightly dimmed in series 2 of The Traitors in UK, its still compelling viewing. Loving Diane the new mistress of confusion with the (won't say) and as for one of the Traitors.....they're going to win this series. -
My best mate worked for her as a horse groom about 20 years ago and has nothing but utter praise for her. Regal yes, but very down to earth behind the scenes and kind towards staff. The fact he smokes helped their relationship in the yard as well.

I'd go with Robert Wagner. There's a lot of wailing over Julie Walters but she's on my radar if only that she's gone very silent in recent months after many years in the public eye.

Christ - he's very well known in cycling terms.

Think we're done.

That's a heck of a loss with Roy Tucker. Was the bad boy of Ambridge in his youth but grew into a likeable character. Guess he'll move to Birmingham to be with Mike Tucker his Dad I guess?

2013 was a strange list. Only scored 13 hits and considering it was heavy with people in their 80s/90s then - you'd look and think it was a bit of missed trick.

Falling like 9 pins at the moment. All we need now is the PROPER version of Fairytale to get to Number 1 in tribute.

Christmas work dos. Honestly - one in the North of county (buffet) one in County hq middle (buffet) and one in South of County (piss up). All being organised by people with little going on in the day job...

Reading on Facebook group that Gillian McNeill (Lynne McNeill) in Take The High Road has lost her long battle with breast cancer. Another one gone far too soon. -
I think I got Friends in the early series as the characters were only a few years old than myself. It started to lose its way in series 4 and I never really picked it up again, as Friday night was always pub night in the 90s. Miranda I can watch and laugh at. But The Office and Gav and Stacey always left me stone cold. As for Mrs Brown- he clearly knows where the bodies are buried at BBC, how on earth that gets recommissioned ill never know.

And so it begins...

To me, Haydn will always be Alex in Drop the Dead Donkey. Its forgotten what a show that was in the early years when we had John Major and the end of USSR etc. The Christmas party 1991 is a masterpiece in comedy. https://youtu.be/oNFz0hkPXvA?si=tW5SjL4Rzu7fKInu

Julie Goodyear - Coronation Street legend
Philheybrookbay1 replied to Gooseberry Crumble's topic in DeathList Forum
If you look on YouTube Julie's This is Your Life is on there. She looks very much like her Mother. Sad to see a icon fading. -
Someone who has been so much in public eye UK wise but gone very quiet is Dame Julie Walters. She pulled out of a drama in early Spring 2023 and then silence. Bowel Cancer stage 3 back along into the mix.
-
Given she went very public with the stage 4, she's gone very quiet. Even the soundbites on Parkie could be just the family. Half expecting to wake up to a BBC alert to be fair now saying she's gone
