First Celebrity Death You Remember
Undead In Ohio replied to The Daredevil's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
The first one I remember as a 10-year old is Samantha Smith dying in a plane crash in 1985. Beyond that I also remember seeing reports of Rick Nelson's plane crash later that year even though I am quite sure that I did not know who he was at the time. -
Why even bother cremating him? They should have just gone ahead and tossed his corpse overboard. The sharks need to eat.
-
Yeah, I was basing it on the picture where he appeared to be grasping the arm of his daughter.
-
I am glad that he is alert enough for his family to say goodbye. My Mom was pretty much out of it her last week. I don't even think she was aware of me when I said goodbye.

I suppose an argument could be made for White, Anderson and Saget because they were not exactly known for their cinematic work, but Kellerman was nominated for an acting Oscar!! There is no excuse there. Betty White should be on there for Lake Placid.
-
I also don't buy Barbara Wallace being 99 years old. She may be pushing 90, but she does not look anywhere near 100.
-
Who in the hell is Warren G. Harden? Also, Jean Stapleton was born in 1923, not Edith Bunker.

Basketball player Lamar Odom was erroneously reported dead from an overdose and he's still alive

Petty was still alive when his death was reported. “We apologise for any inconvenience in this reporting,” it said. CBS and Variety amended their stories and CBS News maintained it “reported information obtained officially from the LAPD about Tom Petty”. CBS and Variety then cited TMZ reporting that said Petty was “clinging to life” after suffering cardiac arrest. https://web.archive.org/web/20171003234241/http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/music/how-confusion-spread-over-news-of-tom-pettys-death/news-story/c07ec7cd7d255b5e698c5e90be90f92c

I would not be surprised if he dies tonight or tomorrow. It seems that after these premature announcements, the person in question lives at most another 24 hours. Some examples are Joe Paterno, Tom Petty and most recently, Tony Dow. EDIT: Of course it might be just be total BS.

A man died after trying to do a handstand on a hotel balcony during Hurricane Ian last week, according to an official. Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said 34-year-old Markell Hope fell from the 15th-floor balcony of the Patricia Grand Hotel while attempting the maneuver at around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 30. https://www.wmbfnews.com/2022/10/05/man-falls-dies-after-attempting-do-handstand-myrtle-beach-hotel-balcony-during-hurricane-ian/

Yeah, he's practically bones at this point.

Probably just an non-recent picture.

The make-up artists on The One Show must be miracle workers.

Oh, that's a shame. I quite enjoyed his performance as Alfred in the Keaton-era Batman films.
-
Also, Dion Dimucci from Dion and the Belmonts.
-
I hope he doesn't need a heart transplant because a good heart these days is hard to find.

In that same vein, Bert I. Gordon (who makes Corman look like Fellini by comparison) turns 100 in September.

I hereby apologize for causing offense to people named Arsewipe.
