Herman Wouk and Bill Gates Sr. didn't get BBC obits either. I didn't think she was famous enough in the UK either and was surprised the committee picked her. Though obviously it turned out to be a good decision.

I don't think this one's been done before: longest absence between DL appearances: 1. Jerry Lee Lewis (1994–2021; 28 years) 2. Queen Elizabeth II (1991–2016; 26 years) 3. George Cole (1990–2014; 25 years) 4. Charles Aznavour (1991–2013; 23 years) 5. Sean Connery (1996–2017; 22 years) 5. Anna Wing (1988–2009; 22 years) 7. Tony Bennett (1994–2013; 20 years) 7. Bruce Forsyth (1996–2015; 20 years) 9. Ian Paisley (1994–2012; 19 years) 10. Henry Kissinger (1994–2011; 18 years)

June Whitfield was another name that felt like a lock for DL, but died before she could appear. Out of the names still living, Patricia Routledge is someone I've been expecting to debut for a few years now, though she still seems to be in fairly good health. Far from bad, indeed. I believe most of the 2019-2021 debutants born on that timeframe were on your list.

Just noticed four years have passed since this post. Over half of these names have gone in that time, and 16 have actually made it on the DL. Hawke, Mondale and Poitier are the only ones to become DL hits so far.

Cheers Ulitzer. Glad to see her looking so well, assuming she hasn't declined after that. The post on Fanmail.biz (which I linked) mentioned the response came from her power of attorney (rather than Tewson herself), and used the words "no longer able to autograph", which gave me the impression she was in much more dire health.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...
Grimgrass replied to Vaagheid's topic in DeathList Forum
These edits already happened some time ago, but though I'd mention it: English actor Andy Devine, best known for playing Shadrach Dingle in Emmerdale, died on 27th January according to an editor (claiming to be a family member of his) on Wikipedia. Death date was added twice, but was reverted both times as unsourced. -
Actress Josephine Tewson. Turned 91 last month, hasn't had any tv roles after 2015 and no longer replies to fanmail due to her age and health: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1527900&p=2929630&hilit=Tewson#p2929630

New Here And Just Saying Hello
Grimgrass replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Hello! I'm Grimgrass. Another long-term lurker here, I recall I first discovered this site sometime after Ronnie Corbett's death.
