*Checks team, in doing so discovering that he is a unique for me*. Yep, he can stand down. Edit: I have also just noticed that I have submitted Bob Blackman twice. May I sub in Desmond Swayne?

Sonny Ramphal, then Sonny King. I would say Sonny Rollins should probably be concerned but he's on the DL so, chances are, he will be fine for at least the next few months.

Polish singer Rena Rolska has kickstarted the round by becoming hit number one. She died aged 92 earlier today, thus eliminating TheKillingTime from the competition. Please let me know if I have missed any hits. -

I'm fairly sure that is the case now, but racehorse Red Rum did make an appearance in 1992. -

Blake is still active, and doesn't look too bad for 91 in what appears to be a new photo advertising an exhibition of his which is currently ongoing. I would say he is probably one to come back to in 2026, but now that I have said that prepare for his demise in the coming days. -
With Sven's death, Fujimori moves up to the main team, and Rupert Keegan to join the subs bench, please.

After that last update, I figured he would be gone by the end of the week. I was only a day out. Rest in Peace, Sven. I'm not going to profess to know anything about football, but the tributes here seem to be sad ones, which is a good legacy to leave. -

Sir Sam Neill, regarded as one of the most versatile actors of his generation, was diagnosed with Stage III Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma last year. More recently, his chemo has stopped working and he is on a drug that is also seemingly likely to run out of puff sooner rather than later. A rather real possibility for the DL 2024 at this rate.

Crazy Eight Dead Pool Mk.IV
Summer in Transylvania replied to Summer in Transylvania's topic in Dead Pools
It took just over 10 months for the first game, then a quite quick 5 for the second. -
Even fewer make it to 100 or are beyond 100.

I'm sorry, just to be clear, you agree with the opinions of a woman who has, to date, been fined six times for inciting racial hatred?

I'll pick Indarjit Singh once again. -
Hello There and Welcome, or Welcome Back to those returning, to the third round of the Crazy Eight Dead Pool! This pool is a lot like the Midsummer and Advent pools in that every entrant may choose only one pick, but the winner will be he/she/they who predicts the Eighth death, not the first, so folks with only 24/48 hours to live may not be the best choice here. Credit for this pool's creation goes to GuyFromFuture, I am merely the host. The Official Rules: 1. Entrants will have 24 hours to submit an entry, declared in this thread, as opposed to by PM. 1 entry per person. 2. Entries open on 20th November 2023 at 00:00 GMT. First come, first served. 3. No two players can pick the same person. 4a. Banned picks include death row inmates (unless sentenced to death after being picked), FFBI, people under the age of 18, and all of the usual no-go areas. Death row inmates, FFBI, people under the age of 18, etc. are eligible to enter as a participant, however. 4b. I am aware that some pools class supercentenarians as FFBI, because they are famous solely due to their age, but that is not the case in this pool, and so they are perfectly eligible to be picked. 5. The QO standards remain fairly low, as long as they are definitely dead, and an obituary, as opposed to a death notice or a social media post, has been published, the hit will be counted. The only exception to this rule is, like last time, legacy.com remains a non-QO source. 6. For legal reasons, killing your or others' picks to speed up the pace of the game or to win is not advised. 7a. Hit placement is determined by date of death, as opposed to date of death announcement. However, in the instance that two entries die on the day of the eighth death, whichever death is reported first shall be counted first. 7b. In the case that a specific date of death cannot be determined, the date said death is announced shall take its place. I am still fairly new to running a pool, so if any of the more experienced members have any suggestions for additions/amendments to the rules, please feel free to say so. The same goes for any questions, should they be prompted. Hall of Fame: 2022-2023: MortalCaso (Ted Kaczynski). 2023: Yvonne (Joss Ackland).

I haven't got a clue, but Philip will be waiting forever for Rodney Elton (number 34) to be a hit, he died a year ago tomorrow.

Crazy Eight Dead Pool Mk.III

One thing that I find curious is that all three winning picks of this pool so far, despite the broad range of names eligible for selection, have been DL-worthy, two of them having been selected by the committee. -
