I think William Russell, Doherty, and JEJ are the only deaths I'd call misses, in terms of "I think they'd have made the 2025 list had they lived". Field and Irwin were ignored for so long I assume they'd just never pick them for whatever reason. The score with the aforementioned three would still be pretty mediocre, but not as abysmal as it looks at the moment. (I also wanted to see Corman and Gossett on the list, but I didn't really expect them to be picked, so whatever.)

1914? Come on. He's the guy that runs the shop in Misery. Clearly he's not ~5 years older than Richard Farnsworth there. He's still alive, and he was still acting recently. This IMDb page is also him. He was born on December 2, 1938. Here's his Facebook page.

Mildly interesting DL-related trivia is that he was Dick Van Dyke's IRL gym pal, hence why DVD appeared on Days as Hogestyn's dad last year. -

Daniel J. Evans is a hit for me here. I'll keep the governor train rolling and replace him with George Nigh.

Steve Limbaugh was interviewed in that "out here in deep red Missouri, people aren't impressed by Kamala Harris" article last month, which talked about how, even at 96, he still goes to work at his law firm every day and has no plans to stop (his dad, Rush Limbaugh Sr., only retired from law at 102). I'd bet he becomes a centenarian, with the obvious caveat about not everyone 100 blah blah.

There's pretty much a 0% chance it isn't Walters.

Not really. IMDb usually has the correct year listed (example). I tend to think there is some lone nut who believes she was born in 1927 and frequently changes it back whenever he's reverted, although who knows why they keep accepting it.

This has probably been the driest year for celebrity ambulance chasing since I became somewhat invested in it as a teen in the mid-2000s. Sure, there's been a handful of expected ill dudes peacing out (Keith, Field, Burrow, Irwin, Doherty), but their field of replacements who are obviously circling the drain is pretty skimpy, and aside from that, it's just dry spell after dry spell, and the actual deaths are very light on top-of-the-line names. Pretty telling that, as comatose the DL has been, there's only been a single miss, and it was Doherty, vs. Crosby, Boothroyd, Kaczynski, Berlusconi, Gambon last year. I mean, even 2022 was pretty respectable despite Smith, Piggott, Cribbins, Newton-John, Johnson, Walters, Benedict, etc. dying off the list. And yet nobody wants to rub it in this year. No Yoko Ono death? Liza Minnelli? Douglas Hurd? Hal Linden killed in a BMX stunt gone wrong? Alan Alda succumbs to SuperParkinson's: Extreme Edition? Andy Taylor decides he doesn't like taking medication? Brian Wilson's dementia turns out to be Gena Rowlands-esque? One of the more forgotten picks from the past like Tommy Chong, Tim Johnson, Ronnie Wood, Mike Ditka, Mr. T or whoever else? Ghost town. But not literally. It's funny to me that the year began with Johns, Hayes, Randolph, and Jewison all taken out in the span of a week or two. I figured we'd be in for another year of clearouts, but now apparently all the huge geezers have just decided they don't want to die.

It was this edit. Pretty nutty, but on the positive side it did help elevate panic bottoms to the mainstream.

Seems like a pretty obvious fake to me. But it's not as bad as the Britt Allcroft home invasion shit, so I guess the very normal Thomas the Train fans are upping their wordsmithery.

I'll take Noam Chomsky
