Even then, you'd locate the year first. Year-month-day I'm fairly fine with because it also makes logical sense (it's still ordered), though I think it looks a bit clunky. What I take exception to is the month coming before the day and the year, which makes no logical sense at all and looks horrible. The day comes in the month which comes in the year.

Nowhere near the level of acclaim of Rex, but this guy https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Rea reached 92. This guy https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoff_Thompson_(snooker_player) would be 94/95 if still alive, but he only barely makes the cut of professional.

The month first date format. It's a truly horrible system and I can't understand why anyone would use it.

A bit snarky of them to remind everyone that he never made a 147 break, but that he once got so close by making a 146. It'd be a bit like if Tim Henman died and the ITF tribute included a reminder of him being two points away from reaching the Wimbledon final in 2001.

I have it on good authority that they are correctly positioned, but I'm fairly willing to have the matter examined by a professional* *provided he's young and athletic

DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis
Master Obit replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Oh the chance would certainly be nice... (there's zero truth in my employing any of these techniques, in case anyone mistakes me for actually being a psychopath...or at least more of one than I admit to myself) -
So do I, but I've yet to receive international acclaim for it.

You're such an optimist, I love it. A breath of fresh air around here. -

Anyone here can decide what content they wish to consume, but I reserve the right to stick my beak in when I think people are simply playing in to the hands of someone desperate for attention, but unwilling to actually listen to any constructive feedback he is given. It confuses me why people do this, especially people who I actively respect on here. -

Update on this: I seem to have made some progress, though he's still hesitant about where he sits on the sexuality scale. Might not need to eliminate quite as many people as I originally anticipated, but the other four options are still being considered for now. -
It's a pity it wasn't heart failure that killed him, because there'd have been a decent line about Bob Newhart needing a new heart for the taking.

You're clearly a fairly intellectual person and shouldn't be wasting your time on irritants like TOC. Mute the guy and move on. The more people that do this, the better it is for the site (and also TOC himself, since he might actually have to rethink his life a bit.) -

I don't understand how you haven't muted him yet. He either does this stuff for a reaction (which he seems to get), or is unbelievably ignorant/dim. Someone with the level of grey matter that you patently have shouldn't be wasting energy on people like this guy. There is a similarly irritating twonk in a different community that I periodically frequent. He posts things to try and get reactions, and will also target individual members with snarky comments and messages. He's tried numerous times to get me to lash out at him, but I have ignored him every time and he doesn't bother with me anymore (unfortunately there's no option to hide posts from specific members on this other site, else I most certainly would just do that). If we can get to the stage here where at least the active members here don't pay any attention to TOC, he might just reevaluate his position. -
I also don't have whatever this license thing is but I'm absolutely exceptional at identifying the talent in the English Premier League - I'm still a bit ropey with their actual names but I'm confident I could give a good enough description such that the clubs would know who I'm talking about when I'm trying to pick the players for my final squad. I'd do absolutely everything I could to get my hands on a big trophy. Ideally, it would be Cole Palmer's or Phil Foden's.

That's certainly the rumour going round.

Absolute poppycock. 3 goals in the whole tournament, one of which was a penalty is not what I'd call "a measure of the man's quality". He badly needed dropping.

Whom Are You Tarring With The Epithet "twunt"?

Diego is giving Mo Farah a run for his money with his projected time taken to do 10k. -
The ignore function is a thing. I use it to spare myself the tedium of seeing his bile.

We need to drop Harry Kane, I grant you that. And that really should be a call Southgate makes (or rather should have made a while ago...) It's easy for people to sit back and criticise, but the fact remains that the men's team have gotten further under Southgate than any other England manager in the past half a century. Making even the quarter-final was an achievement when I was young. Maybe he doesn't quite have what it takes to win and maybe it is time for someone else to have a go, but he's at least gotten us to a position where we are a consistent threat. The players also shoulder some of the responsibility. The manager can only do so much.
-
Cue the relentlessly tedious calls for Southgate to resign, as though changing the manager would magically get us the win next time. Two finals and a semi-final in the last three majors is incredibly good going. Not beating Spain isn't a failure on our part, it's just that Spain are the better team. The win will come at some point if we can consistently get to the final of tournaments, and in the meantime we can all get on with our lives. Also, Cole Palmer's goal was beautiful. I hope we see a lot more of him (who doesn't? What a sexy man)

Master Obit replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
This topic has tennis in the title so it feels appropriate. Best moments of Wimbledon 2024 final aftermath: - Annabelle Croft declaring Carlos Alcaraz as "hot" and then trying valiantly to pretend it wasn't a Freudian slip and she was actually referring to his skill. - Carlos Alcaraz being asked a question and clearly having no idea what was asked, but laughing his way through it anyway. Carlos Alcaraz, I fucking love you. Adorable, skilful, and tremendously handsome. -

This is the kind of content I come here for. -
I'd suggest asking for your money back and a bonus on top. I'd prefer the bonus to be a private tour of the showers after their final match and a long weekend on the Costa del Cole Palmer, but others may prefer cash.

I was rather more amused by the completely oblivious response to him by whoever CameraManny118 is.
