Ahmed Suat Oyazici, Turkish Trabzonspor’s player (1967-1972) and manager (1973-1988 and 1999) is dead at 87 Under his management, Trabzonspor won 4 Champions titles, 3 Cups and 5 Supercup, doing the treble (Championship, Cup and Supercup) in 1977. These was the first time a club outside the « big three » (Galatasaray, Besiktas and Fenerbahce) had won the the championship, a feat that was only repeated in 2010, 2020 and 2022 As a player, he was a member of Turkey’s okympic team in 1960.

Italian player and manager (Perugia, Lazio, Inter and AC Milan) Ilario Castagner is dead at 82 In 1978-1979, under his management, Perugia became the first Serie A to finish the season unbeaten, a feat only equalled by Fabio Capello (1992 with Milan) and Antonio Conte (2012 with Juventus) However Perugia finished runner-up, their highest achievement to date. Castagner was also the 4th (out of 8) to coach both Inter and AC Milan, and the only one to go straight from Inter to AC Milan (or the opposite)
