Clifton R. Wharton Jr. who was Deputy Secretary of State for six months at the beginning of Clinton’s first term, has died aged 98.

Italian Gino Pivatelli is definitely alive. Uruguyans Omar Pedro Méndez and Roberto Leopardi are like Dincer and Ersoy : no knews about them, so could be alive or dead. So technically, there could be 6 survivors from the 1954 World Cup.
-
Notable ? In France we follow quite closely North African football and I’ve never heard of him. He only got 4 caps with his country.
-
The article says that he was "one of the last members alive from the 1954 WC squad". So Mehmet Dinçer and Sükrü Ersoy could be alive.

I found this.

Christian Brac, who was in 4x100m French relay for the 1948 games but did not actually run, died on 20 August aged 97. He doesn’t have a wiki page so I put his olympedia.

Goalkeeper Paul Kalambay Otepa who was in DR Congo (Zaïre at the time) squad at the 1974 WC, has died on his 76th birthday. He was an unused substitute during the competition. His death means that the three goalkeepers of the team are gone ! He was also in the squad that won the 1974 African Cup of Nations.

Turns out Bill Monfort was not in Pearl Harbor during the attack, according to his son in law. Definitely a WW2 and Pacific war veteran though.

Yes one of the best Ligue 1 players ever, very sad.

Two Pearl Harbor veterans died at 101 years old on 3 November : Charles Theodore Sehe and Edward Stone. I also found three alive veterans that aren’t on your list : Isaac George (103) Warren Upton (105) Geb Galle (103)

I guess that’s why this site says he "resigned" on 9 November 2023 !

It’s maybe hard to explain from YOUR and YOUR political side’s point of view. But it has not the majority in Europe. At least not in France, Netherlands, Portugal, Hungary etc…

And also Jack Nicholson.

It’s your reflection who is absurd. You’re saying that women have better qualities, that the world would be a better place with women in power. But at the same time you don’t want Marine Le Pen as president because you don’t share her opinions. That shows that the more important thing is not gender but ideology.
-
I think the reason why some voters prefer Trump over Harris is not because Harris is a woman, but because they think, whether they’re right or wrong, that’s she is too much progressive. And yet the vast majority of Republicans women are going to vote for him
-
Of course it exists. But in that particular case, it doesn’t play any role I think. If Trump was a woman, I think I would have the same amount of voters. It’s his ideology not his gender who make people endorse or hate him.
-
Wow, I think it’s a 6th grader level reflection. The Americans didn’t vote for Hilary and Trump in 2016 because they were a woman and a man, but because they were democrats and republicans. And Hilary did win the popular vote. Saying that women have more qualities than men is as sexist and absurd than saying the opposite. So according to you, Margaret Thatcher, Edith Cresson and Elizabeth Borne were very good PM ? And I suppose that you voted Marine Le Pen in the presidential election ?

Butler Martin, a WW2 veteran who like Eaglin was among the first Black Marines, has died on 27 September aged 101. The article tells us that, at the end of 2023, there were 300 Black Marines www2 veterans who are still alive. This other article written in March 2014, however, says there 400 survivors out of 20.000.
