I wonder if Dani Alves is a suicide risk now he has been convicted of sexual assault.

Come on, he’s been convicted to 4 years and 6 months, which means he’ll make 2 years. That’s not a big deal !

Many kids these days refer to anyone over the age of 20 as a boomer.

Many progressists/wokists refer to anyone who (slightly) disagree with them as a boomer.

  3. Portuguese coach Artur Jorge has died aged 78.

He notably led Porto to its first European Cup in 1987 and Paris Saint Germain to its second French Champion title in 1994.

A great loss for FC Porto and PSG fans (like me).

Tongan politician and noble of the Realm, Mataʻiʻulua ʻi Fonuamotu, Lord Fusituʻa has just won a by-election, automatically triggered due to his absence from parliament for a whole year. Perhaps His Lordship got the sympathy vote, as he remains in New Zealand, receiving treatment for an unspecified medical condition and there is no word on whether he is expected to return.

    He’s dead aged 51.

Francisco Morales Bermúdez (1921-2022) President/Military dictator 1975-1980, Prime Minister 1975, Minister three times between 1968 and 1975. Wheelchairbound but not very frail.

Uriel García Cáceres (1922) Health Minister 1980-1982. Has looked ancient for ages but seems like he's doing well.

Patricio Ricketts (1924) Former Minister of Education. Not 100 percent sure he's alive.

Martha Hildebrandt (1925-2022) Fujimorist President of the Congress 1999-2000. Frail.

José Burgos Ramos (1926) Former Mayor of Sullana.

Sergio Bravo, Mexican player at the 1954 World Cup, is indeed dead in 1997 aged 70.

About his 1954 teammate, Cortés, I found an article about a player named Arnulfo Cortés, who (like Ranulfo Cortés) was a forward and played for CD Oro. He died in 1994. Maybe it’s the same player ?

I already found that source last year, @whoismakoto !
