Wow, and I'd just put him on my 2025 ShadowList two days ago.

Here are some more names for Jimmy Carter to outlast: Earlier suggestions I agree with: Widely accepted as immortal, but not on the list: Grand Cunt Hossein Wahid Khorasani (1921): Has spent the last 103 years supporting Billy Joel's theory that only the good die young. Wang Fuzhi (1923): the last of China's "Founding Generals". Harrison Ruffin Tyler (1928): In failing health for 12 years. Grandfather was President John Tyler (born 1790). How? Original suggestions: Min Jingde (1915): Probably not famous enough, but he's in dire condition. Moshe Sternbuch (1926): Morbidly obese Haredi rabbi on oxygen. Wu Liangyong (1922): Legendary architect/urban planner who suffered a massive stroke in 2008. Sam Nujoma (1929): Overweight Namibian president. Rumored ill since 2009, survived COVID in 2020, hospitalized in May 2024, and missed his sister's funeral last month. Mahmoud Abbas (1935): Widely unpopular Palestinian leader in poor health for a long time. Kaiti Grey (1924): Centenarian with advanced dementia who survived a serious trip to the ICU earlier this year Larry (2007): Chief Mouser at 10 Downing Street. Despite rumored ill health, he has outlasted five Prime Ministers and one monarch.

Yep, this is the right thread. Bud S. Smith also got an Oscar nomination for his work on The Exorcist.

Carter's photo was taken on December 31, 2020. You can tell because of the date on his vaccination card.

Deathlist Dreaming

Dreamt that William Daniels died overnight. The announcement was made by Tracy and got 30+ reactions, his thread was given the "dead" tag, and I went to edit my "25 for '25" post. The only abnormal part about this dream was someone posting a SpongeBob edit about Noam Chomsky. -
TBF, they had Ruby Muhammad on the list in 2007 when she was "110"

I predict the grim reaper is going to confound sceptics and be its most powerful yet like a super strong enema in 2024 moreso than recent years equalling or even beating 2020

Jimmy Carter can't last more than a few weeks. He spends most of his time sleeping and his anniversary with Rosalynn is coming up. He'll either go in the next week or in the first week of July. Noam Chomsky was probably sent home to die. Like Carter, he's at high risk of dying in the next week. However, I could also see him reaching August, but not long enough to see his supporters pounce on the DNC. Aside from that, Fritzl, Bugner, and Redgrave are the first who come to mind. -

We're overdue for a hit. I think we'll be getting more than one hit in the next few weeks. -
A bit of clarification: Greason and Teasley are the last players from when the Negro Leagues were considered Major Leagues (1920-1948). The Negro Leagues lasted well beyond 1948, but Greason and Teasley are the only "Major League" players left.

This leaves Bill Greason (1924) and Ron Teasley (1927) as the last living Negro League* players. Teasley, Greason, and Mays were all going to get together for a Negro League tribute at Rickwood Field this Thursday.

Probably. It takes a few minutes to a few hours before a major source picks it up.

Not an obit. More like a guest essay from a contemporary after he heard the same news we did.
