Playing a saxaphone whilst walking down the outside of a skyscraper "Finn Martin ... plunged 20 metres to his death in front of a shocked audience in Leipzig on Friday evening. In the party trick known as ‘Vertigo’, which Martin had successfully pulled off countless times before, the 49 year-old was due to vertically walk down the facade of a building while playing to cheering fans. He was scheduled to perform four 15-minute sets while images were projected onto the building behind him. After the musician’s harness suddenly broke and Martin crashed to the ground, a doctor confirmed that he had died from the impact. Police are working on the assumption that the safety equipment failed, but are investigating whether anyone on the team had been working while drunk"

So I see. The former lead guitaritst Hide. This is what apparently happened following his death: "Within one week, three fans had died in copycat suicides, and of the 50,000 people who attended his funeral in Tsukiji Hongan-ji, nearly 60 were hospitalized and about 200 received medical treatment in first aid tents."

Segway boss's death due to "multiple blunt force injuries to the chest and spine consistent with a fall while riding a gyrobike". Jimi Heselden's death was reported in the 2010 deaths thread (now closed). I wonder exactly how many deaths as a result of people falling down a steep cliff whilst riding a gyrobike has this coroner had to deal with previously?

Rumours are circulating that Jiang Zemin has died. Being China, I wouldn't expect much clarification either way for some conseiderable time. According to this article, as "Jiang" means river, searches on one of China’s most popular social media sites containing that word (e.g. searching for info on China's largest river, the Yagntze) came back with a message stating “According to the relevant laws, regulations and policies, the results of this search cannot be displayed.”
