Peter Steele The frontman of the New York gothic / doom / thrash metal band "Type O Negative" has died of heart failure aged 48. I've never heard of them personally, but his death seems to be creating quite a bit of news. Apparently he was reported to have died once before in 2005. Their last album was ironically entitled "Dead Again"!

He oversaw many notable fights, not least Frazier's defeat of Ali at Madison Square Garden in 1971, dubbed "The Fight of the Century".
