    The Hartlepool Deadlypool

Well I was lying about taking my computer to the workshop, and only got around to it last week. I still don't have it back, but have managed nevertheless to update the site a bit. Emails will come when I get my computer back. Probably.

    Margaret Thatcher

They are saying she is stable. Which in my book means "as well as can be expected" ie: dead.

Things To Do While Waiting For Death... 2008

Too small for what exactly? I would advise you to find out the meaning of the German word Motorschaden

Either you've photoshopped the number plate, NAP, or your car sports the pornstar plate 'EZ 69'. Yes, I'm rather proud of that one, which is why I didn't blank out the whole number.

    The Dead Of 2008

Australian of the Year. Now there's something I'll probably never be.

Hello all! My computer is going into the workshop this week, so there may be even less updating, sending out of emails etc going on than usual. I may get around to doing Baba Amte and that other chap before then, we shall see. I also just wanted to bump thsi thread up a bit because it was under the William Shatner Forum thread which is indeed a sorry state of affairs. Hoping this finds you all well and thanking you for your patience, Notapotato.

What Are You Giving Up For Lent?

Well on the day before Shrove Tuesday, I resolved to break my 2007 new year's resolution which was not to drink any coffee and which I'd successfully stuck to for more than 13 months. This involved drinking one cup on Monday late afternoon, and another on Tuesday morning. The resulting disturbances to my otherwise peaceful and satisfactory digestive system provoked a further resolution to give the stuff up again for lent. Poison I tell you. Poison.

    A Joke

    Ha, f****n' ha.

    Charles Taylor

And anyway, you have replaced "ex" with "former". Try replacing it with "formerly" and see how it sounds.

    Charles Taylor

Mr Potato, I see your point but disagree. Is Mrs Thatcher the "former British Prime Minister" or the "British former Prime Minister"? maybe there should be some hyphens in there, but clearly the first one is correct (in my book anyway) - therefore I believe CT is correctly reported as Liberian ex-President - likewise with Ariel Sharon. That's what I said. Mrs Thatcher is a former Prime-Minister of Britain. Among other things.

    Charles Taylor

Should be Liberian ex-president. Or has he had his nationality revoked?

    Ariel Sharon

The subtitle of this thread is misleading. Sharon isn't an ex-Israeli prime minister. He's an Israeli ex-prime-minister. The difference is not inconsiderable.

Good fortune for Death List is that the rigors (and vomiting) from chemo often kill the recipient off quicker than the cancer would. May I add..... his tumours were benign. He did not, therfore, have cancer. He's having Radiotherapy, not chemo. A completely different thing entirely. As our baggy-trousered friend so rightly points out, he doesn't have cancer, so chemotherapy in the usual sense would be a bit of a waste of time. Now he seems to have survived the surgery, I don't think his life is really at immediate risk. Even if the tumour were to grow back, it's unlikely to regrow so fast that it'll kill him this year.

I couldn't find a full date of birth for the DDP entry - only that he was born in or around 1973. Cricket umpire Nigel Plews is the only other one I don't have a photo for. Can anyone help? Or can anyone tell me which of these he is? I just assumed he was the one in the middle, but maybe I'm wrong. The picture wasn't very contextualized. While I'm here, I believe John Archibald Wheeler was a unique pick of mine, but it's not listed on my team. Otherwise, I want to make it known that I appreciate your hard work (and that of anyone who helped you) in getting the site up and running so quickly and that I think it looks absolutely amazing. Thank you. And a special thank you to Devon Death trip who has written a lot of the biogs. You can tell which ones he wrote because they're good.

Sorry about that, it's sorted now. Please feel free to point out any other mistakes, we don't mind. In the meantime, does anyone have a photo of Lord Hugh George Cholmondeley, 5th Baron Delamere? Or a date of birth for Baitullah Mehsud?

Try this link perhaps. I had the same problem with a window which was already open when I uploaded the new page. No amount of refreshing or cache emptying would sort it. As regards Emily Perry, I was wondering why anyone thought that lovely looking young lady might be a possible candidate. I took her for an improbabe. But since she's so pretty, we'll let the picture stand for a day or two. Lend some sex appeal to the whole thing and all that.

    The Dead - 2007

That is distressing news on New Year's eve, Alphonsin, and I'm sorry to hear it. Here's hoping it turns out to be a blessing in disguise as these things often do.

    The Deathlist Christmas Special!

I enjoyed very much. Perhaps others will too. Incidentally, there is a rarely-seen deathlister in the choir, which lends some relevance to the post.

    The Dead - 2007

Blimey, I wouldn't like to be the one who has to carve his gravestone.
  23. I met his ex-wife the other week. Smaller than I expected. They always are.
