Dead is about as stable as you can get.
-
Same goes for Jeremy Paxman.
-
Nice to see you again Bou! I think that was Barrabas.
-
He's a very principled chap old George you know. Good at exposing hipocrisy. I thought it was disgraceful the way Jeremy Paxman abused him on election night after he'd won his seat fair and square.
-
You know, I think this convention may not be such a good idea after all.

I don't think the Shipman remark bothered anyone. But as Lady Grendel and Windsor so rightly point out, there are certain subjects best avoided as they could lead to the getting hold of of wrong ends of sticks and knee-jerk reactions on the part of those not blessed with the requisite intellectual eminence to grasp the purpose and meaning of deathlist. Present company excepted.

Looking decidedly dodgy, mind.

Is there another kind of immortalised, Dead O'Gonner?

I see the BBC isn't above raising a cheap sN-word with that old standard: the "Jobs Blow" headline.

Things To Do While Waiting For Death... 2007
Tuber Mirum replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
That doesn't count. He is missing out the ands in "six hundred and eighteen thousand two hundred and forty three". Bloody cheat. He should start again and do it properly this time. -
Indeed, Star Crossed. Subtlety and Understatement is the way of the Deathlist. Less is more (to quote The Unwritten Rules). That is a maxim which some recently-joined members would do well to learn.

Aye, that was back in the days (before I was a mod) when they didn't realise what they had coming. That was the golden age of blissful naïvite, if you will. If you turned up now, you'd fit in fine, I daresay.

Here's another Tuddy obit. From the BBC no less and with a photo.

Oh Windsor, sometimes you are so old fashioned.
-
Yes. Well done on finding it - it's not on the main page. Also well done to Anubis for making the top 5 & to DDT for what I think is his 4th hit in a month... Oh, excellent!

Harvester has not the slightest idea about the Golden Age of the Deathlist. Perhaps he means that particular short period of time when his personal brand of stupidity was still barely tolerated albeit with some bemusement by the deathlist community. There may well have been a Golden Age, for me it was the time when Josco was top of the poster list. For others it was probably something different but for Harvester and all others who lie slightly to the right of W90 on the political Köchel scale, it's probably more an individual feeling than a group experience. Fabulous stuff this Fernet Branca by the way.

Happy Birthday Yogi Bear!! Smarter than the average Great Pyrenees. I mean if that's the sort of thing you like. -
Please reveal your sources! I thought Nicholas Courtney died ages ago. It was mentioned here. Funny it's not on Wiki though. And it's Lethbridge Stewart.
-
Perhaps it's time to resurrect this again.

A few more or less definitive definitions of dodgy here.

Mmmm! Fish cake anyone?

So how are Queenie and Matt Busby Airlines these days then?
