And please let's not forget his magnificent performance as Captain Keene in Carry on up the Khyber. Oh yes he was quite good in that and not a trumpet in sight! I'm pretty sure there's at least a bugle of some sort in there somewhere. Actually, those three films seem to be the only full-length features he was in.

I met Genscher at a charity do earlier this year. He's fine. I wouldn't go putting him on any lists just yet. Coase and Juran were on my provisional DDP list (not on HDP though) as possible unique pics. I'd forgotten I'd posted that. Today is Hans-Dietrich Genscher's 80th birthday. He's all over the news as they're holding a mega-beanfeast for him in a circus tent in Berlin this evening. He looks good for another 5 years at least, in spite of having been seriously ill with TB when he was younger. It also seems he resigned as German Foreign Minister back then on his Doctor's advice. More a positive sign than a negative one from a sensibleness point of view. Among the 1500 guests is Mr. Shevardnatsie, but I didn't get a look at him on the telly. Perhaps more interesting from our point of view is the fact that Mikhail Gorbachev is unable to attend due to ill health. Could be a mild case of the sniffles, but it could also be pleurisy or ebola.

He was on my DDP last year. I left him off this time. Don't know why. I see the madman has just got arrested for trying to scale the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. There's a BBC interview here. Bloody nutter.

Well my money's on Oscar Niemeyer.

Strangely enough, Freddie Francis was the director of "Dr. Terror's House of Horror", starring Roy Castle and mentioned only yesterday in another thread. Even more strangely enough, I have just this minute finished watching that film. Spooky or what?

Happy Birthday Grimbo, wherever you are! -
Two not to be missed highlights of his acting career are: Dr. Who and the Daleks (with Peter Cushing) and Dr. Terror's House of Horror (with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee)

Better? Not sure it'd survive being increased any more than that.

Where Has Tempus, Godot, Everybody, Anybody Gone?
Tuber Mirum replied to Windsor's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I thought I'd found some people who like SC, but it was a false alarm. Just have to keep searching, I suppose. -
i was just wondering what ever happened to my space in between Real and Madron? its strange cos i use a space on sign-in...this could be a case for Mulder and Scully.... This one escaped the attention of Upper Management. Problem solved now. regards, Hein wow. ta very much.... Maybe I should ask for an adjustment to The Man In Black, as I'm referred to often as MIB or TMIB anyway. Emphasis y'know.... If you can find an Admin to do it for you, we'll even waive the usual fee. But seriously, if you want to see some action soon, your best bet is a PM to DWB.

Thanks for that Josco. Aren't you supposed to be working or something?

My school burned down, which was a fairly grand thing. Twice in fact. -
Is there a connection between WalMart and civilisation?

Do you mean who do I think it will be, or who would I prefer it to be? -

I am sure that it will re-appear, as he is probably changing avatars. With tempus's return we can now close this thread. Regards, ff And with his renewed disappearance, we can re-open it. Where is he then? -
1&1 by any chance?

A fine example of Deathlist's old favourite Question Begging error in that article, I see.

That page looks more like a death notice than anything else, given the cross and the black border. Just doesn't say where to send the flowers.

John Inman's death means an HDP hit for Lived so Let's die. 25 points plus 5 for an original selection, plus 5 for having been on Celebrity Squares (Christmas Day 1975) and 10 for his having been in a panto. Can anyone find any evidence that Inman has performed Morris Dancing? I'd be surprised if he'd never had a bash at it.

I don't mind Riesling, though it's not my favourite wine. And I quite like pepper vodka too, actually.
