I think what you've discovered there Windsor is a parallel universe.

I think you'll find that's O'Ryan's belt. Named after the famous Irish meteorologist Declan O'Ryan, the discoverer of sleet.

Things To Do While Waiting For Death... 2007

That's what they said to Buddy Bolden. -
He was on my DDP last year. I left him off this time. Don't know why.

What is the source of this fascination with Royce Galaxy? Did Royce ever actually post anything of note? PS: I think this thread may be up for deletion soon.

Banshees, if ie+ is complaining about you, it's more than likely you did something foolish to upset her, and haven't seen the need to apologise yet. There's no smoke without a fire you know. And by the way, why is it that you can't write a post which doesn't force the reader to read it three times, then wander off scratching their heads thinking: "What the f**k was that all about?"? I don't think it's lack of intellectual eminence on the part of our membership that stops them from understanding more than the bare gist of slightly less than half of what you write. Even deep, metaphysical or esoteric stuff can be expressed in plain English. Its preferable in fact, helps you be taken more seriously, and doesn't delude the reader into thinking you are a complete numskull, as your present style tends to do. Of course I know better.

I take your point ie+. Definitely no credit to Banshees Scream for any of that impenetrable pseudo-cabalistic blither with which he attempts to appear mystical, deep and intellectual, or for annoying the hell out of lots of the female members. But credit where it's due. Ms. de Winter was a complete pain in the arse, and an obstreperous one at that, and Banshees has driven her off and I suspect I'm not the only one who's glad about it.

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries ,etc ...for 2007

Happy Birthday Lady Die! -
Whatever~ I have obtained it on a personal informal information lending basis that nobody will be croaking this year who is on the list. It is a puzzlement and to add to the mystery thhe candidates who did not kick off in 2006 but were on that list and now are off the list will be dieing....every last one of them. Interesting how these things occur. Has one of our statistical bods ever analysed how many of the survivors of one year die in the following year? Regardless of whether they are selected again or not? Might be interesting.

Completely agree, outrageous behaviour on the part of Mr Scream. Quite right. Bad behaviour from Banshees. Perhaps I'll give him a warning. On the other hand, I suspect BS will take note of these chastisements and won't do it again. If it had been that Bloody Awful Woman we were ticking off, she would have stuck her vees up at us and posted another twenty-five page-long posts about how tedious and impolite we all are. Credit to Banshees for driving her off.

Well I'm very pleased to have won the One-Liner category, particularly given the stiff competition ATJ puts up. And particularly since I nominated myself.

"Top politicians" is overdoing it a bit isn't it, Iain?

To lose one volunteer mystery judge, Mr Notapotato, may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose two looks like carelessness. They weren't volunteers. I think that may have been the source of their unwillingness to cooperate.

You probably just need to upgrade your Java software. I'm having big trouble getting into the chat. Strange thing is, it works fine with the same computer at at a different location. Even using the same IP (though the number will be slightly different). I can't get in on the other computer either. Either something's wrong with the router here, or sigmachat doesn't like my IP number. Not that using a proxy server makes a bit of difference. I also can't get into the sigmachat site.

The scoreboard has been updated for the death of Maurice Papon. Not sure about gleefully, but certainly dutifully. Emails will get sent out sometime. King Whoopass now has a pretty mighty lead, thanks to his having predicted 3 deaths in the right order. In other news, Mystery Judge #2 hasn't replied. Can I have a volunteer to be Mystery Judge #3? Only people I can be sure aren't taking part in the HDP need apply.

Should Notapotato Be Stripped Of His Moderatorship?

I would draw my Learned Colleague's attention to the first four letters of my name. -
I strongly suspect, and you can correct me if I'm wrong here, that this person is not actually Iain Smith but someone pretending to be him in a rather pathetic attempt to blacken his name. Surely trying to blacken Iain Smith's name would be like trying to squiddify squid. But you're right. It is pathetic.

Whoever gave you that idea?

Aye, he seems a nice enough chap, quite apologetic really. I'm still not convinced the site is legal. Not because of gaming license issues, but because of the betting on death aspect. Isn't it illegal in the UK to have 3rd party life insurance? That's the sort of thing I mean.

Gravy will still be available, but only to those party members who have shown outstanding loyalty. -
What guy in which photograph? As Lard Bazaar has already suggested, I too am pretty sure the concept of that site is illegal. the same law that prohibits tontines and the like. If you read the blurb on the DDP site they say "for legal reasons entry to the competition is free of charge" or words to that effect. Also, if I were GR or MH, I'd be up in arms about the similarity of the names, coupled with the prominent placing of the DL banner on the page. Once they get back from Skegness, we can ask them. Until then, I suppose we'll just have to tolerate it.

Where there is uncertainty, let us bring confusion. Where there is smoke, let us bring fire. And where there is thingmy, let us bring wossname. And that bloody coal mine is going first thing in the morning. Oh yes, and I'm abolishing elections. so I'm in for good now.
