The mystery judge clearly decided he wasn't interested in judging the competition. Probably thought I was taking the piss, although I wasn't. Perhaps I'll give Mystery Judge #2 a try. Later on.

Should Notapotato Be Stripped Of His Moderatorship?

I couldn't see them using Firefox, but I could in IE. Don't know why - I'm not very technical on this sort of thing. There are unsafe characters in the file names. Spaces and suchlike. Bad form, that sort of thing.

Should Notapotato Be Stripped Of His Moderatorship?

Who is Matt Hopkins? Let me guess ... A closer look at that profile shows us that he was last active last November sometime. That's not to say Mr. Crossed doesn't have some other names up his sleeve. Why can't I see the pictures on that page if others can?

The first you have my full support, but as for the second... I'll go along with you fully on the Tabloid Journalists Mr Asia, but do tell me what you mean by liberal democrats. (And does the lack of capitalisation mean anything?) Do you mean it in the Mrrrcan sense? In which case I don't agree with you at all, or do you mean Paddy Ashdown, and his pals? In which case you're spot on.

Should Notapotato Be Stripped Of His Moderatorship?

Seems pretty conclusive. Now if I can only get the T&GWU on my side, their 2.5 million votes should just about clinch it for me.

Ah! English! The language of Shakespeare, Milton and the Bible. No stop muckin' about ! And explain yourself Notapotato. Razor Boy Since you ask so politely, I shall. I was just being a bit sarky about the lack of capital letters, spaces between sentences and punctuation in that post. You'll come across that sort of thing a lot here, if you post any more that way. And welcome to the forum Razor Boy. You can leave your razor with the chap who minds the door. best regards, Notapotato.

    Anna Nicole Smith!

This year's rules also pay a bonus if she was murdered, or died by accident, the latter of which is almost certain, barring suicide or murder.

Hold your horses, I've already sent them for perusal and judgement in an unsolicited PM to the mystery judge of my choice. If he replies soon, then we'll get a result. If not, we'll need to come up with something else.

Yes I have everyone's entries, and am considering them. Was a bit under the weather yesterday and the day before so didn't get an awful lot done. I'm considering appointing an independent adjudicator actually, for fairness' sake, before I go awarding the points to myself or something.

No it isn't iain, it is indeed a member. Unless that member is indeed Iain, which I doubt. I know who it is, and would he please stop it immediately. Thank you.

Anthony, if you happen to be in a school, why don't you look out one of those teacher chappies they usually have in those places and see if you can't pick up a couple of tips about the use of capital letters and punctuation? Might help kill some time if you're bored.

    Lookalikes

I was once told (by Banshees Scream) that I look a bit like Michael Palin. Make of that what you will.

Tied for 12th now. Just updated the Old Scoreboard for Ray Berres. Since, (due to my mentioning it at the end of a long-winded mail which probably landed in most folk's junk), interest in the 25 points you could get for writing the mini biog for Tony Blair has been less than overwhelming, I'll give it an extension till Tuesday afternoon sometime. Then I'll decide who gets them.

    Maryport!!!

He grew up in Fraserburgh. My Grandmother recalled him being pushed about in a pram. His house is still here. No blue plaque though... Was it in Marconi Road?

Oh dear! Look what happens when you leave things lying around in Fraserburgh.

Can the Department of Speculative Etymology do something with this? Whatever happened to Professor Pestilence?

    Kylie Die-ly ? Minogue Morgue-Go ?

Nah, she was diagnosed early, and she's otherwise fit. As long as she doesn't overdo it, she'll be good for a lot of years yet.

    Caption Competitions

I did not name it. That's how it appears on the good ol' net! While amusing, it also looks like a Photoshop jobby to me. The arc of the pee looks far too graceful and dead centre on the helmet with no discernible run-off. It isn't any kind of jobby. We don't allow pictures of jobbies on Deathlist. I'd have thought that was clear by now.
  23. So you post a picture of a half-naked dog... CP regards, Hein That's no way to talk about Ms. Gilham.

    George Melly

The Melly forum seems to be as good as dead. I wrote to them offering to sort it out for them, but have had no reply. They obviously aren't particularly interested in it. I'm wondering if House of Graham is being paid by anyone to run the site, in which case it is a disgrace. In particular that they asked for volunteers to do their job for them. The rest of the Melly site is also incomplete. As are other House of Graham sites. It's conceivable that they haven't been given any of the necessary content to publish, or that they haven't been paid, but they could still make the effort to let us Melly enthusiasts know what's up. Does anyone fancy founding an unofficial Melly Forum. Perhaps from invisionfree or Yabb? We could transfer most of the threads over. But who will undertake this task? Not me for a kick-off.
  25. Happy birthday Canadian Paul! You share a birthday with Rabbie Burns, (who is 348 today) which gives me an excuse to wheel out this old chestnut: Much better than some boring old half-naked ladies.
