That article doesn't actually say it was the oldest spider, just the biggest. Same thing.

So. Done that. Did anyone die? -
Why didn't I know about that site before? This one is particularly good:

Summer Olympic Deaths/Dead Medallists

I saw him getting interviewed on the telly a few years ago. Apparently, he wasn't allowed to actually hit the gong. It was made of plaster and would have disintegrated into a thousand pieces, had he really whacked it with that dirty great beater. -
Chap I know used to work for a well-known symphony orchestra in the city of Birmingham. They used to do children's concerts with Johnny Morris. Apparently he was completely pished all the time and used to fall off the stage quite a bit. Top entertainment it must have been. I hope that's some kind of a consolation.

I went to Margate once. Can't really recommend it.

He's been looking in occasionally, and posting under the pseudonym "Dick Long" Nomen est Omen? I think not. Stupid is as stupid does, more like.

Do what he said. And then tell your friends to do the same. If you're stuck for something to do whilst wating for death, might I suggest you try one of these? Good man Mr Crossed! You have my vote. -

Nothing at all. It's a great place. On a clear day, you can see across to Hartlepool from Whitby. I guess that means the poor sods in Whitby can see Hartlepool. That is exactly what it means. It is in fact exactly what I said, excepting your denunciation of the residents of Whitby as "poor sods", an allegation for whose veracity I cannot vouch. -

Happy Birthday Yogi Bear! Have an extra-long walk with plenty of barking and tail-wagging. That should work up an appetite for that lovely fish supper which is doubtless coming your way! -

Good to see you back MPFC, if a little the worse for wear! Mr Anubis asked you a question in the Maryport thread a day or two back which we'd be sorry not to see an answer to.

For us Scots, the problem is endemic, seemingly.

Happy Birthday Windsor! -
Great plan, except that the aborigines would probably get all upset about someone else giving their land away to a bunch of foreigners, and would start firing rockets into the new Jewish State.
-
It wouldn't work because it doesn't logically follow that just because all jews are eligible for Israeli citizenship, that all non-Jews aren't. There is a chance that your Israeli citizenship would be granted in which case at your age you would immediately be drafted into the armed forces. Anyway Israeli citizenship couldn't be considered to be a fundamental human right, could it? They can turn away anyone they want, for whatever reason they want. I suppose your plan might work in California though.

Read Any Good Books Lately?

Did a quick google search for pictures of Ms. Zuydendorp, but came up a blank. Managed to find this picture of the hole she fell into though: Isn't it bad graveyard etiquette to go trampling around on other people's graves? Could it be that she was dancing? -
I'm pleased to see someone has locked this topic. It has run its course, iain is no more and we can all forget about him. But please nobody delete it! It is after all "The Best Thread Ever", and may serve as a warning to future idiots.

Whitehouse, I hate to be pedantic, but it's not exactly a "Near Miss" as Sharon isn't dead yet. There is a specific thread for updates on Ariel Sharon's condition Another member would have got a warning for that. But luckily for Mr. Whitehouse, people of his pedigree get preferential treatment on Deathlist.net.

That should go down well with Windsor.

"Iain" is quite a good name which will be available soon.

Any statement regarding Mr. Foot's condition could only be something along the lines of "Mr. Foot is quite old, but not yet dead" I don't think anyone here is interested in hearing that you had miscalculated and he will certainly be dead within the next week. If you make a statement this evening, Iain, you would be well advised to limit it to some carefully chosen last words on this forum.

Happy Birthday Ron Price My humble tribute to Ron's poetic genius: on ron's sixty second birthday which fell* in the year of two thousand and six** the deathlist community*** united in dedicating some posts in his honour sincerely heartily and without a hint of irony****or sarcasm probably *"fell" in the sense of "occurred, took place" **In the Western Christian calender the year 2006. In other calendars it may be a different year. ***The members of the popular internet web forum, www.deathlist.net ****The exact definition of "irony" is a matter which is open to discussion. As this is a case of its absence, we need not bother with too much nit-picking. -
Ooooooh! Is BB Laura as well? No its not BB. However his alter-ego of BC does have a link to this well-known deathlister. Can someone PM me with suspects name too please If this speculation is based on my mentioning in the chat that there is an IP similarity with one of the members, the evidence is far from conclusive. One interesting fact which I discovered recently is that BBC employees accessing the internet from work have their own specially reserved range of IP numbers. Also not conclusive evidence, I know, but whoever is posting this stuff isn't doing it from the BBC.
