An earlier post in this thread from one of the Moderators suggests that they were well and truly pushed. Probably OMJ posted something which was considered too offensive, but has since been deleted so we may never know. I didn't find the pair of them that bad really. Terminator was only ever rude to OMJ, who in his turn was rude to everyone, but only in the nicest possible way.

Well mainly the sorely-missed Amanda but also Weatherman and his various clones who haven't been seen for a couple of days (perhaps the mods have been less inert than I gave them discredit for) and Mattd007 who was only really interested in abusing Weatherman anyway. Otherwise, apart from the continuing absence of Stats and Pixie Boots and that other loveable double act Terminator and One Man Jury, everything is much as it was before your much-discussed mystery disappearance. Josco and I (or "me and Josco" if that is more to your taste) are still at loggerheads about irrelevant grammatical niceties, whilst neither has yet predicted a death, accurately or otherwise in spite of continuing to be the two most prolific posters. Hope that answers your question.

A simple test: Try changing the order. "Between I and you and the gatepost" doesn't sound quite right, does it? It has to do with nominative and dative and stuff like that. Presumably any decent gatepost is unlikely to betray one's confidences. Or criticise grammar for that matter.

I have absolute faith in the Selection Committee to come up with a list of celebrities according to their own singular if slightly opaque criteria. The last thing we want is to have the like of Gretchen Franklin or Peter O'Sullevan replaced by some more internationally famous people. That would detract considerably from the attraction of Deathlist which lies in the mild eccentricity of the selection process. And probably attract even more illiterates than we already have, if that is possible.

I was wondering about the evidently German nature of some of the more annoying posts, then I remembered Weatherman90 is by his own admission a German. The only thing is, assuming he is the first and original miscreant, I'm not sure he isn't too anal to allow himself to post all that bad spelling and punctuation. Not to mention too unimaginative. So annoying as he is, I'm not convinced that Mr Weatherman really is our Moriarty. The Moderators are conspicuously unforthcoming about the IP numbers. Perhaps Weatherman is holding Stayin' Alive hostage?

I'll join you on that witch hunt LP7. But since Stayin' Alive has absconded, taking all the IP numbers with him, thus rendering the Moderators impotent, we may never discover the truth. We may find some consolation in OMJ's favourite saying: "Guilty until proven innocent" Most applicable in this case, I think.
