Ideas and Possibilities for 2006

That's in Yorkshire somewhere, isn't it? -
You mean like this? I find that much less impressive.

I believe that it is only Moderators who can delete posts, change the name of threads, etc.,, but suspect they are not keen on doing it for people because if they do it for one, they will then have to do it for everyone and that would leave them less time up there in Valhalla for sipping their nectar and having their jumble sales or whatever it is they do.

Dear me Miss Amanda, what a lot of questions! I play music for a living, but can't play the guitar though I'd like to learn. I can play the Ukulele a bit but I prefer to keep that secret. Writing music is only for clever people and of course Andrew Lloyd Webber. I have an aged granny in Aberdeen whom I shall be visiting this week. That's not the reason I'm going there, but she's the only family I have left there. All the others are spread all over the place. I can't say I've seen that many Corrados around here, but then again I've never really looked very hard. Plenty of info on the internet in German though. I hope you get yours sorted out. My car is an Alfa 156 (Nuvola Blue) of which I am very proud although it doesn't have a name. I'm very pleased to see Mr. Josco is back, I was afraid I might have offended him in some way.

It says there he has had a tracheotomy. Didn't somebody write in the Pope Thread that tracheotomy patients have a pretty low chance of survival in the long term? Same goes for thyroid cancer patients probably too.

On the bright side, at least Fallen Sparrow didn't select him for the DDP.

ISTR the US Constitution forbids presidents of foreign birth, which would make Kissinger ineligible. regards, Hein Whereas war criminals are perfectly eligible, and in fact preferred.

Things to do while waiting for Death ... 2005

Managed to get 2200 yesterday with a bit of judicious preparation. Then this morning I got 2454 on the first try. The element of chance is a big factor in that game, but oddly addictive is about right! I'm pretty sure at least Grim Reaper is one of the founding fathers who is still with us. Presumably the forum took its present form in 2003. I wonder if all those involved back in 1987 are still alive? -
question begging

It looks as though Amanda is inclining that way herself. But how will we know it is really her car and not someone else's much better looking one? And what happened to the kangaroo-suit idea? I am not sure I could wait until Christmas.

One of the guys on the Corrado forum said he had replaced the on-board computer twice at great expense before discovering th problem with the relay which cost about a tenner to fix. If the mechanic wants a lot of money to fix it, you should probably get a second opinion, especially if he is not your usual one. I wonder if the RAC helps with that kind of thing? Be particularly suspicious if he offers to trade your car in for another. One does try to retain some kind of an air of mystery about one's whereabouts and doings, but I wouldn't be saying anything I hadn't mentioned on the forum before if I say I am a musician living in Germany. I live here because I came here to study and then stayed. I visited a concentration camp because it is something everyone should do when they are in Germany. It helps in understanding what the Nazis were up to back then. As I understand it, a lay preacher is someone who is not a member of the clergy (i.e. a layman), but who performs certain liturgical duties in church. Don't know if he gets paid for it. Please write something nice about Mr. Josco, as he appears to be sulking.

Definitely not for children this one. Go here and type in "http://www.deathlist.net" then click on the button. I don't understand many of those hungarian words. -
no it doesn't! Nobody mention Python!
-
I am well confused. Somebody else try it please. Perhaps it has to do with the other Python, the object-oriented programming language which may in some way be connected with the forum. That's Pyt*on isn't it?

Can anyone tell me why I get a forbidden error message when I try to write: t h a t' s M o n t y P y t ho n i s n' t it? ?

Hello Boudicca! Nice to have you on board as the good Captain would probably say. Pleased to see that you got a very impressive Avatar and a signature together before your first post. Some others take much longer Romani eunt domus Shouldn't it be: "People called the Romans they go the 'ouse" ? Or something? You will notice that pedantry and petty nit-picking are part and parcel of everyday life on DeathlList. Feel free to take offence. For offense there is a small charge

I looked on a German VW Corrado forum, and found that your problem has happened to others before you. It appears that there are a couple of relays which fail sometimes. No. 30 the main relay for the motor control. Or No. 109 whatever that is. I hope that is the problem anyway because if it is, it will be nice and cheap to fix. Buchenwald is a former Nazi concentration camp near Weimar in Germany. I was there yesterday, but am now back home in the West of Germany. I come from Aberdeen, where I shal be for a couple of days next week for a mental bev sesh. I once tried to write, and read quite a bit on the subject. They say a good start is to write everything that comes into your head, because you can always go back and correct it a bit afterwards if it doesn't make sense. I gave up when I realised the book I wanted to write had already been written by Robert Rankin and was crap. Mr Honez is your real man when it comes to literary matters. Did you get your mac fixed, including the graphics? Watch out for those glands; plenty of water to drink and not too many fags. Hope all goes well at the garage tomorrow.

Not at all. Did not! regards, Hein PS I love that edit button. Not too sure about "Corintheans"

Sir Robert Mark was the chap on the telly who said: "I am convinced this is a major contribution to road safety" Wasn't he? Aquajet Radials or somesuch. On the subject of TV advertising quotes, who else can remember the name of the man who said: "It's Vortex" ? -
one dead Gerry Adams & Martin McGuinness

Not to mention driving slowly and obstructively up and down the A61 Autobahn with their caravans. If Ireland were put to the vote, then the occupying power, which is in the minority if one takes Ireland as a whole, would lose out. Same sort of thing as in South Africa. And probably a few other places I can't think of at the minute. Seeing how Ireland is quite a nice place with a fairly strong economy, and Northern Ireland isn't, it should theoretically be an attractive proposition for NI to become irish. Is being British really such a great privilege? -
I think you'll find that that versatile little word, "crap", is a noun, a verb and an adjective. Not sure it makes sense in that context though. The same applies for "rubbish". "Bloody" on the other hand, is not yet a noun as far as I am aware.
-
Miss Amanda, I'm sure your car is in good hands. And probably has nothing too serious wrong with him. Did you ever report how the sevice went? And buy that tax disc? I'm just back from Buchenwald, which sort of changes one's perspective on the minor tribulations of everyday life. I think you write very nicely, and certainly not with too little punctuation. Although I'd love to know which word is / is not the verb in the following sentence: Anyway, good to see you are working again and I'm sure you're not responsible for that other chap's bad driving. All the best,
