    Rosa Parks

She is on my list for 2005. She has been involved in a court case against rapper group OutKast since 1999, but is now too ill to testify. Last report I heard was that she was ailing and suffering from dementia. Rosa Parks Has Dementia, Can't Testify

    Dead Losses (2004)

She seems to be enjoying her retirement from the entertainment scene. At the moment she is an animal rights activist and owns a villa called the "Cypress Inn" in Carmel, California. Although she is 80, she does not look like she will be kicking the bucket anytime soon.

    ODB

Despite his musical talent, he was obviously a thug. What I find really unfortunate is that some of the people who disagree with this opinion seem unable to articulate their viewpoint in a civilized manner and resort to homophobic remarks.

    Gerald Ford

He did look a bit frail at Ronald Reagan's funeral earlier this year.

    Fred Dibnah - Ranters Thread

Cyprus, You have the CHOICE of viewing any website that you want to. Nobody put a gun to your head and forced you to visit this website. If you don't like this website that's ok. You have already given us your opinion and we have all heard what you have to say regarding this website. There are many other websites that you can visit if this website is not for you. If you are watching television and you don't like a program, don't you just change the channel? Or are you one of those guys who will call that TV station and complain to the program director? If you don't like a song being played on the radio, don't you just change the dial? Or are you one of those people who will call the programming department of that station and complain about the music being played. It is obvious from your previous posts that you don’t like this website, so why do you keep on coming back here and posting the same complaints? You are beginning to sound like a broken record. There are many other websites in the URL universe that you can visit. Maybe you should try doing so.

    Mahmoud Abbas

It looks like he dodged a close one there. It will be very interesting to see how long he is going to last if his own people want him dead. Reminds me of that famous line in Julius Caesar! Et tu, Brute?

    Arafat's (Inevitable) Death

There is a lot of controversy even after Arafat’s death. The article linked to Typhoid Harry's latest post has brought an interesting but controversial point concerning Arafat's death to the forefront. So far there seems to be 2 theories as to the cause of his death. The one that seems to be getting some publicity is that he had aids as described in the 2 articles in the link below: http://codeblueblog.blogs.com/codeblueblog...edblogs_wi.html http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Diplomacy/4348.htm The other theory is that is being promoted by militant groups is that he was poisoned by Israel, as mentioned in this article below: http://www.news.com.au/common/story_page/0...255E401,00.html Looks like we will never know what really happened as everything has been shrouded in secrecy from the moment he got sick in Ramallah to the time that his death in Paris was announced.

    37. Dick Cheney

Despite having a history of 4 heart attacks, Mr Chaney has not experienced any health problem since just before the 2000 presidential elections. This latest "shortness of breath" event seems to be a false alarm. At the hospital his pacemaker readout over the last 3 months showed no irregularity and an electrocardiogram showed nothing abnormal. But then again, you never know how well his heart and his health will hold up, given his previous history of problems. We will just have to wait and see!

    Arafat's (Inevitable) Death

"He dies again" Frenzy is right. Reuters has just reported that Yasser Arafat is in fact dead. It is very interesting that he is being declared dead just as the Palestinian delegation arrived at the Military hospital to see him. My opinion is that the doctors and his wife have been hiding this fact and spreading misinformation all of this time. Maybe that is why his wife was trying her best to prevent them from seeing him.

    Arafat's (Inevitable) Death

The doctors and Palestinian officials are just playing the media for political reasons. They know that he will never recover from his illness and at best will just be a vegetable being kept alive by life support machines. As long as the fight over where he is to be burried continues between Israel, Egypt and the Palestinian officials, they will continue to put a spin on the inevitable. Mark my words, as soon as it is decided where he is to be burried, they will turn off that machine and declear him dead. He is not going to be walking out of that hospital. He will be leaving that place in a box.

    Arafat's (Inevitable) Death

Too be honest, I believe the Israelis who say that he is already brain dead. Looks like they are keeping him on the life support machine until they can decide where to bury him. The Halibut custom requires burial within 24 hrs of death and the French, Isreali and Egyptians are deciding where he should be burried. They are not going to declear him dead before this matter is resolved. Check out this article below: http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/11/04/...alth/index.html

Serious Contenders for Next Years List

My bet for 2005 is Yasser Arafat if he manages to make it through this year. Right now, it does not look too good. I also think Pope John Paul 2 will finally meet his maker as well.
