I just heard the appaling news from the CNSNews.com newsfeed on my website (http://www.believe-mail.com) and I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear that Lady Bird Johnson has kicked the bucket so I rushed over here to offer my sincerest condolensces to the family and friends of this remarkable woman. This also marks my return to this Forum after a long absence that's how signifcant this event is to "force me out of retirement". Why do the good always have to die so young? Aldios my dear and may you rest in peace!

It's been a very sad week for America. What with James Brown's passing and now Gerald Ford's death. It is always tragic to lose an ex-President but at least it has been a very succesful year for the DeathList, one of the best ever! Rest in Peace Gerald Ford.

James Brown had the most number of albums after Elvis Presley. Elvis didn't come out of exile when his daughter married Michael Jackson and if anything would bring him out of hiding you would think that would be it! So I think it is highly unlikely that he will now because of this. He will come out of exile IF and when he is ready. He certainly had the means AND motive to fake his own death. I'm not one of those to just swallow blindly everything I hear on tv or read in the media. I'm expecting a BIG announcement on August 16th 2007! Will he come out of hiding on the 30th anniversary of his alleged death? We will see!

The Australian people voted in a referendum in 2000 to keep the Monarchy in Australia. It was a narrow victory but a victory all the same. The Labour Party of Australia, with that referendum, are only permitted to remove her of head of state and not remove the monarchy. Unless of course they take it upon themselves to abolish the monarchy without the full consent on the people. TLC, in Australia she has the title Queen of Australia. Or so I'm led to believe. It would make sense. The Labor (sic in the head) party are not permitted to do anything of the sort. It was 56% voting NO to 44% voting YES a pretty clear victory for the naysayers in anyone's book. Head of state and monarchy go together they are inseperable. You can't remove the Queen as head of state and keep the monarchy, that is absurd! That is the monarchies role to be head of state!

Britain still has an empire just not a very impressive one. Countries like Australia belong to the Queen. They are part of her Empire, where as the Falkland Islands for example belongs to Britain and is controllled by the British Government. Only part of Hong Kong was on a lease and i've already explained that once. The republic of Ireland should have never been allowed to break away from the rest of the nation. This was a mistake which will hopefully be rectified sometime in the future. The British Isles belong together, ALL of the British Isles, southern Ireland included. There will be a united Ireland when southern Ireland rejoins the UK at some future point and who knows whether the UK will even have a monarchy then so it might not even be an issue.
