    103 Soon To Be 104

I don't wish to bring a spot of culture to the forum, but didn't Cassius from "Julius Ceasar" also commit suicide on his birthday?

    103 Soon To Be 104

More like 365 : 1 (except in a leap year!) Aaaaaagh! It was clearly a joke, hence the smiley.

    Melita Norwood

She'll be 93 this year, I believe. Don't have a DOB yet unfortunately. Good call though, she didn't look that strong back in those crazy days of '99.

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2006

It would only be cheating if on the 31st of december 2005 the trial had already taken place and Saddam had been sentenced to death but the execution had not actually taken place. If at the end of the year the trial had not taken place or was still in progress then choosing Saddam could not be considered cheating as there is no guarantee that he will definitely be executed or that it would definitely happen in 2006. You have to take into account the likelyhood of lengthy appeals etc. Does that sound right?

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2006

Saddam Hussein has got to be a good bet for next year. The Iraqi elections will be at the end of Jan, a long trial later in the year followed by execution in 2006. Does that timeframe sound plausible?

    Paul Gascoigne

Luckily he only has pneumonia, as I'd doubt he'd have been on anyone's list. BBC Report
  21. (offending article was in the daily mail page 49 14th December edition) On closer examination, it would appear that it was one of their readers mentioned the Late Cyril Fletcher of odd ode fame ...etc etc... Daily mail reader..... enough said That's Death! They were merely a little ahead of schedule. I don't remember him from "That's Life", but he's gone today - a sad early miss for DL2005, I think. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/t...dio/4141367.stm
  22. Cheers, I nicked it off someone else of course.
  23. Hi All, Happy New Year etc. Sorry to be a pain but I just want to point out that there appears to be a problem when you click on "Discuss" beside the name of any of the celebs in the 2005 list. I get this message: Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: You do not have permission to view this topic
  24. Chill, I just thought I was being helpful.
