I would say that your disparate "mob mentality" has forced certain members (eg Banshee Screams, One Man Jury) to just stop bothering being involved in this site. In terms of Banshee Screams, I have been as active as anyone to hit on his/her strange statements. However, I would never stifle those absurd reasonings. I feel the moderators and the "in crowd" are stifling a wider debate on life. Perhaps the destlist site should be consigned to oblivion. Unfortunately, it appears to be collapsing in on itself...minimal entries... Would anyone like to shake up this site and argue fully that this is not the case?

I also enjoyed it. The destruction of Vulcan? I can see a sequel on the way. The younger Doc McCoy was fabulous, the Spock one-liners had me chuckling. "Green blooded hob-goblin" for example. They did a fair job on impersonations. Unfortunately, Chekov's high-pitched overkill of a Russian accent was grating. I thought the Spock character was well-performed; he even walked like Nimoy. There's some mileage to go with this strand of the franchise....

With Liverpool out of the competition, I hoped for a good price for Barcelona to win the Champions League. They were favourites (even in England, when all the other teams were Premier League). In the end, I put a speculative bet on Chelsea because of their greater odds' return. Chelsea tonight were unlucky, in that a few legitimate penalty shouts went against them. However, Chelsea (at home). against 10 men, never really strove to get a second goal. They deserve to be out of the competition for their torpor. The signs are that, with Villa and Everton improving season by season, Chelsea's future 3rd/4th qualifying place for Champions League football will be even more at risk....
