The DL Escape Committee has had some limited success in the past. In 2003 both Mr Stats and Death In Pixie Boots managed to escape through the secret tunnel dug using only a DL branded mug and late last year Stayin Alive went over the top and is still on the run according to latest reports. DWB

We are all calling Iain a lucky man since his resignation threat was tendered and Mr. Kunitz rejected it. I reckon he wanted to leave anyway and he is sitting at home in front of the computer, with his head in his hands muttering: "Just what the F**k do I have to do to rid myself of this bloody website?" Things just get worse and worse for Whitney. Houston has brain tumour. This news obviously promotes Ms. Houston to the top of the would-be list for next year me thinks. DWB

Death Watch Beatle replied to Windsor's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Obviously if we told you about the secret forums we would have to kill you. Now, what were you saying about Tempus? DWB -
A number of member have already had a go at this here. Do these qualify as legit. entries or do we have to repost? DWB

The Death Of The Traditional Nursery Rhyme
Death Watch Beatle replied to Phantom's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Just remember, if a well-know personage drops dead and is not on the DL, it isn't a failure, but an improvement opportunity. DWB -
Going back to the headline, my effort is: "The End of the Affair" For those of you who haven't a clue, it was the title of a Graeme Greene novel I believe. Not a great effort, but there you have it. DWB

Undertakers report that it takes longer than ever before for a body to decompose. This is attributed to the mountains of preservatives now in the food that we eat. It is these preservatives that carry on doing their job even after death. Anyone got any other snippets of useless death related trivia? DWB

Further investigation reveals that the pub at Bell End is called the Bell Inn - perhaps the Bell End Inn was just taking the joke a little too far? DWB -

Your Least Impressive Celebrity Encounters
Death Watch Beatle replied to Phantom's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Had a couple of pints with Glen Matlock after he'd finishing rehearsing one evening. Rat Scabies was drumming but he had to go home. When out in Hyde Park, saw Jimmy Savile jogging in that awful gold tracksuit he used to wear, he stopped for quick chat and then shook my hand - obviously I washed it immediately in the Serpentine. Delivered a parcel to the bloke who used to voice the Paddington Bear TV shows. Michael somebody I think - very old then - dead now. Oh, and I used to work with the cousin of Marco Pirroni (of Adam and the Ants) - it doesn't get any better than that! DWB -
Near misses and Ideas and Possibilities both cracked the 1000 replies, but I believe this is the first 'dedicated' thread to achieve this. DWB

Does that mean trivia and an average of 30+ posts a day are now OK? Don't push yer luck! DWB

OK, here we are in the Dickie thread once more. I hope we are all happy and best of friends again. I must admit when things don't go the way of the members, the old chestnut of "free speech" does get thrown at the management. I have been on some forums where disrespect to other members rules. It degenerates into personal insults and "I'll get you banned" jibes and can really put off potential posters. I know, I have been put off before. One of the main jobs of the Moderators on this forum, apart from deleting the phonograph spam, is to make sure the level of posting doesn't put off visitors. Excessive swearing, racism, all the non-pc stuff has to be stamped on, (I'm not implying that this has happened, it's just an example) - so as long as these unwritten rules are followed - free speech will reign. Strong opinions are always welcome, but keep it clean and don't let it become personal - or libelous - that's another biggy! So, the Mods are your friends - probably. DWB

OK, listen up everyone. I have received a number of complaints about the subject matter and language used in this thread. Calm it down please. Consider this the first and last warning - you know who you are! DWB

I don't know. If you only get one hit a month, does that make it a duff year? DWB

I owe it all to DWB, I never would have heard of her, if it wasn't for his post. The same goes for me as well. Oh Good! That makes me feel much better. Thanks. DWB

And today's lesson is: "Put you money where you mouth is". You would have thought after the Richard Burns fiasco last year, that if I tipped someone for the chop I would put them in my DDP, but no, once again I have no conviction in my postings. DWB

He used to make regular reports on Manchester City football matches for the BBC. He definately reported on Final Score and I think he also reports on radio. DWB
