Honestly, I laughed and laughed when I saw that photo - I wonder if his looks had anything to do with his assassination? What would you have done if you were Albanian. DWB Edit - Additional to this posting, I always thought he was assassinated but Wiki doesn't mention it.

    Queen Juliana

Assuming that my favourite European aristocrat can be dead or alive, I think I will try my hand at being King Zog of Albania. A very well known photo shows him in full uniform with hitler-style facial hair and a military cap set at a very jaunty angle. Quality! DWB

    Pete Doherty

Pete does go through the whole spectrum of emotions: Today he is in love (not Courtney though): http://www.onlypunjab.com/real/fullstory-newsID-1127.html Ladies, would you take Pete home to meet your parents? DWB

    Phil Spector

Just thought I'd give this thread an airing: Latest news on Spector below - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/3682432.stm Not particularly life-threatening, but he does have a screw loose, so let's see what happens next! DWB

    Brian Clough

A couple of people who should get a mention at this point are Mr. Stats for picking-up on Clough's poor health in early February: http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=96 and Worthing Paul who was also predicting an early bath for Brian: http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=375 Good tipping fellas! The Ramones ...

All day, ALL DAY! I sat at work trying to think of an amusing Ramones inspired, death headline, and all I could think of was the Hey Ho! Lets Go! attempt ... and then Ronnie comes up with I wanna be cremated. Bugger. I was still thinking of some kind of flat-lining "Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment" type thing, and it never really got any better than rubbish. Well done Ronnie. Git. DWB

More Ideas & Possibles for 2005

The Andrews Sisters are now only a singular item, and she (Patty) has her own thread. http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=543 Perhaps you post will be the kiss of death for those on the list! DWB

More flapping numeroids I see! DWB

    Fred Dibnah

The last I heard, he was digging some kind of pit-head in his back garden. I think I posted a news article about it earlier in the thread. That's OK if you live in Texas or Saudi, not so OK if you live in Lancashire. (I am presuming he still lives in that neck of the woods.) DWB

Oh, Son of Sam, what a shame! I had you down for a ranter before I read your post. Then, I started reading and found myself nodding at some of your observations. But, it was ruined by the completely unneccessary comments at the end. Your spelling didn't strike me as at all bad, by the way! DWB

    Dead Losses (2004)

Well, at least he didn't have a drawn-out illness... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/3643812.stm I think he is now fully erased! DWB

Greetings - Your Kinda People (?)

Welcome Ninja You will find both John Mills and the Pontiff on our 2004 Names Forum. http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showforum=4 Fred Dibnah has been watched for a little time now and he appears under his own thread on this general forum. http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=243 Feel free to post your thoughts on these or any other contenders, but do try and keep it clean, otherwise the Editor's Scythe will swing! DWB ps - don't forget the search facility to see if a thread already exists for your nomination!

My contentder for the headline is: [To be shouted while pinching your nose, tannoy like] "Special Announcement: Number 2731 from Belmarsh is late!" DWB My ideas never seem to be as good in the morning, as they were when I thought of them after drinking the night before!

    Osama Bin Laden

Excellent test, I see that fugger and fugging are starred-out but others side-step the smut filters. I think you need an upgrade Mr. Alive! DWB
  19. Death Watch Beatle

    Osama Bin Laden

I find it interesting that VileBody feels the need to spell f****r (presumably) as f****r, but the words f****n and fuckwits in full. I could be wrong though, perhaps the *s are automatically generated using Mr. Alive's built-in smut filter. I think I shall conduct a scientific test. The following expletives are spelt out in full: f*****g f****r f****n f*****t bollocks tits knob bugger Now lets see how we got on ... DWB

What a great description: Flapping Numeroids! I had an alarm clock that did that flapping thing once, kept me awake, went the same way as the novelty 'cock crowing' pyramid shaped thing which lasted one night. DWB

He still regularly presents "Brain of Britain" on BBC Radio 4. This is a very good quizz(!) show - well worth tuning into. Click on this link, and I believe you can replay the last broadcast show. (Also has a picture of Mr. Robinson). http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/comedy/brain.shtml DWB

    Dead Losses (2004)

One of Carl's earlier songs with The Move was "I can hear the grass grow". I think a better title now would be: "I can help the grass grow". DWB

    Dead Losses (2004)

They are famous enough - it's just that he hadn't made it to the 2004 list for a couple of reasons. 1 - Nobody had thought to mention him & 2 - Nobody had thought to mention he had cancer. Apart from that, no reason at all not to be included. Oh well . . . DWB
