Today, I'll mostly be working on a music catalogue. Been writing down some likely candidates from the 50s and 60s, but most seem to have pegged-out without letting me know. I got quite excited about Peggy Lee (surely I can't be the first?) when a website told me she was confined to a wheelchair. What that particular site failed to tell me was she was confined to a box in 2002. A couple of others I have noted for further investigation are Fats Domino and Andy Williams. All information on these or other pop past-its welcome. DWB

I am feeling a bit sorry for Mr. Reaper. The Courtney Love thread seemed to be taking over the "mad as a mongoose" crown. So, for the sake of GR's sanity, a nice little piece about Mr. Doherty - who is still King of the 'Crackpots'! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main.jhtml...ixartright.html DWB

And so the story rolls on . . . This latest report has started using the phrase "suicide attempt", admittedly with the words "not a" in front of it, but you've got to start somewhere. http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1489382/2...?headlines=true DWB

I take onboard RK's comments about being an attention seeker - no arguments there - but read the following article to find out just how unhinged she has become recently. http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?t...storyID=5649381 DWB

More Ideas & Possibles for 2005

Greetings Spectre George Best has been discussed previously and you can catch-up on the discussion about him here. I saw a TV programme about the history of Spiderman last night (what with the Spiderman sequel out right now) and Stan Lee featured heavily - looks pretty chipper at the moment, are you aware of any health problems? - what a great job though - making a million by writing and publishing comic books. I don't think Chuck Yeager has been discussed before - do you have any news on his wellbeing? Must admit - I don't know Harry Knowles - but then again I'm not the best person to ask about films. DWB

As a replacement for Pat on the Sky At Night - how about his curly-haired mate from Queen - you know, the guitarist who borrows his wifes wig. He's a very keen star-watcher - got his own telescope and everything! DWB

    Marlon Brando

Gotta put my hand up to that one. I was typing out my Marlon piece when Swifty put his news up, so I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to merge them - no hard feelings - I'm normally about a hour behind the news! We need people like bigswifty to keep us informed - keep up the good work! DWB

    Deathlist 2004 - Success Poll

Well, it's half time for the DeathList and the score is 5. Better than we had hoped for after the first 20 minutes (or 3 months ish) when we had failed to score - and to be quite honest hadn't really created a scoring opportunity. Thankfully Queen Julianna was on hand to stick herself in the ground first, and the rest soon got the hang of it. Heres hoping that the oranges at the interval will focus the team and produce a hatful of scores in the second half. Pick that out the onion bag! Would any other pundits like to comment on the first half performance? DWB

LIBERTINES NEWS UPDATE! Even his band think he's a bit of a liability - they've sacked him until he kicks his crack habit - and all the other drugs he may or may not take. http://news.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=3144661 Do you think the disappointment of losing his job will send him over the edge? Saddam Hussein

One step closer... http://www.guardian.co.uk/turkey/story/0,1...1249930,00.html Apparently if poor old Saddam can't afford a lawyer, one will be provided for him. If he is being mis-treated in jail, do you think Amnesty International will pick-up on his case and fight for justice? DWB

The best I can come up with on George Hamilton, is that his mum died a couple of weeks ago, aged 93. http://www.news-journal.com/news/content/s...700096562853367 If he inherited her longevity gene, George has got a few more hours on the sunbed to go yet! DWB

The Beckham / Ian Wright / Wayne Rooney

Ian Wright causes the same problem for TV companies as the girl from the Boddingtons adverts did a couple of years ago - namely that they have probably stuck him on a long contract and now have to get VFM - so any old show is put up with him fronting it - regardless of the programme's suitability. At least the girl got paired off with Des O'Connor eventually! DWB

Things to do while waiting for Death ... 2004

On the footy free-kick game I have now scored 6 - then they lined-up a three man European wall for my seventh attempt, and I knocked the bloke on the end flying - what nationality is he supposed to be? DWB

    Bruce Forsyth

Claire Sweeney seems very confident of victory - probably odds on with the bookies seeing as she has done this sort of thing for a living - so I'll go with Natasha Kapwhatshername. Unless of course she has already been evicted - I really was waiting for the England match to start you know! DWB
